Maybe they used this particular camera setting because of work that is being done to the SoonTM Jets...
Next time you fly one imagine that you're NOT in a VTOL aircraft but in a jet fighter. |

I just want the option to use the old camera system. This ones good for close combat but is bad for survivability. |

I have to admit, now that my knee jerk reaction is out of the way it's starting to grow on me. I'd just like the camera to be a tad further back though, we need a view of the area behind the dropship and a wider view will let us see more of the map. |

I used to be able to go 5 or 10 matches without losing a dropship and have fun. Now my stockpile is depleted and my isk is gone. It's amazing how much this change has ruined my ability to perform my role. |

I too have seen many people getting in a viper for their first time.
Be honest, that could never happen to you or I before, but now it can or has.
Not saying it's impossible to avoid, just that it's possible and silly. |

I've seen loads of ADS pilots do that, used to really bug ke because I didn't get any WP for their deaths. That said I've afterburnered into the MCC too many times to criticise (the gallente MCC on manus peak domination has terrible positioning okay).
But I haven't crashed into a building in ages, I like to give them as wide a berth as possible. |

for the first time in a LONG time I lose two dropships to my wing clipping the edge of a building, haha

Well, actually, the old camera would work for jets too anyways. Haven't you ever played Star Wars Battlefront? The X Wing had the same view as old DS. |

Good point, it was just a random thought that leisurely found its way into my noggin.
I saved up an alt for jets but got impatient so I spent 3 mil SP on dropships. HOORAY!
Atleast i got pretty good with the incubus for a while, got to have some fun... |

I mainly just use them to get my Sniper where he needs to go...but i'm crashing now on things that I used to be able to 360* spin landings onto...
and that's the spots I know...big problems are with landing on stuff in the new maps..... |
