Man, since the 1.4 update, I haven't got a positive KDR, not only that, I loose by 2/8 1/10 my worst Kill to Death ratio ever.
But my ISK has almost doubled per game, how is that?
Somehow I have more Shield and Armor but they seam to be much weaker. Or the guns are much more lethal.
The heavy armor with heavy machine guns are unstoppable. @ close range they are killing machines, from far, they still hit me most of the time.
Also some of those Scouts are moving so fast I can't even touch them.
Am I the only one? Love the game but I have a very hard time adjusting I guess. |

LOL scouts always moved fast. They are a nuisance. They are like lil rats on the field scurrying about.
I think its safe to say that are people going through an adjustment period after 1.4. But do not lose the faith!! Don't let it defeat and don't defeat yourself. You will adapt. You will overcome. More than likely, you will become an even better player. See what you're doing wrong and adjust it.
See you on the battlefield soldier. |

Aim assist plus hit detection fixes mean that bullets tend to hit things more often now. This usually results in a mild case of becoming dead. The best cure is to stay away from the nasty end of peoples guns, try flanking and or using cover, alternatively try not to stand still out in the open.
The extra ISK is from extra proto suits dying (due to the aforementioned sudden outbreak of dead). The more ISK killed in a match, the more you get at the end. It could also be a result of the new matchmaking putting you in more balanced, and thus longer and more death filled matches. |

Well for one the matchmaking has improved so the blueberries are divided more equally, which makes the battles less one sided. Also if you're saying the ISK payout is increasing that' indicative that people are using up more expensive fits. Keep in mind that the longer time goes by the harder things are going to get naturally because everyone is moving out of their garbage militia and standard fits and into advanced and prototype.

^ 'a mild case of becoming dead' lol The above post is right though...there are far more bullets/lasers/whatevers landing with greater accuracy than ever before in the game... Using cover more and picking your moments more carefully should help a little... At least its working for me... |

Don't play alone against stacked squads and just chill if you get killed. Don't respawn immediately. Take a moment figure out on what you did wrong. |

Sounds about right on the payouts, the important thing is not to go it alone!! Think further than you can see (means to be prepared for the worst) and play to your suit and weapon strengths!! And dont stop moving!! (Doesnt physically mean dont stop moving just dont stay in same place for too long) |

You will adapt.. just in time for the next big update.. and then adapt again ... and again ..
But in a serious note... i have high hopes that this may end up being the last BIG adaptation we need to do. I can't really see what else CCP can change to make the game better.. we getting very close to finished product now. |

Give it time, you'll get used to it.
With improved hit detection, aim assist and other changes, death is happening a lot faster in general. I read in a couple of threads that CCP also tweaked the ISK calculation for 1.4, but don't know details or have a valid source to confirm that. It could also quite easily be the prevalence of dying things. |

I hate to QQ but for M/KB players the game is currently borderline unplayable. Thanks to aim assist the DS3 players have better aim than I do now. For some reason M/KB hit detection went out the window when DS3 hit detection got better. Strafing and any form of retreating from a fight doesn't seem to work anymore for anyone. I tried using the plasma cannon again and usually got killed 1v1 before I could get a shot off where before I could go in and take out a group of players with guerrilla tactics. Scout suits can be sneaky but then one person turns around and fires 3-10 bullets at you (depending on their fit and skills.) This isn't the first time the feel of the game changed so radically, but it is the first time it only changed for portions of the community. The forums are obviously divided, with controller only players on one side and anyone who has experience with M/KB in dust on the other. All I can say for certain is, there is something wrong here. I know the devs are busy with bug fixes but I really hope they take a look at this side of things soon.
Ok, enough QQing. I am honestly curious if there is some kind of connection between the "improved hit detection" and the aim assist. Something that is leaving a portion of the player base out in the cold. |

I have been getting crushed on the new map.
Not too big a difference on regular maps. Although advanced suits are a little more prone. |

Exploring the nooks and crannies of the new maps is getting me constantly shot and killed from behind.
It feels like a completely different game now. But, it will be a lot easier to get used to than Uprising was. (FFS)
Protos, etc. will stay in the MQ until I get it all figured out. |
