'Scotty the docking manager' was (is?) basically an error message that popped up whenever the game hadn't finished loading stuff and wasn't quite ready to undock your ship from a station. Obviously it is a Star Trek reference, just one that was used in EVE before it was used in Dust. |

I can just picture this happening whenever Matchmaking breaks (this is strictly for the laughs FYI):

CCP LogiBro: Let me guess, Matchmaking broke again?
Scotty: Aye sir, this is the thousandth time this has happened sir.

Scotty: She is doing all that she can sir, and so am I... OK she should be working now sir.
CCP LogiBro: You were better as a Docking Manager.
Scotty: At least I always check to see if my equipment is working multiple times before turning it on sir!
