You increase your chances of stomping by risking expensive or possibly hard to find/craft gear. This in and of itself could be addressed by a free, secondary-market. As for the opponents of someone taking this risk, their exists virtually no risk/reward incentive currently within a public match (and a rather weak one in a corp match). While it is true you could meet the players wager, this is a conflict in even the simplest game theory exercises. You risk much to...break even? There is virtually no reward unless you are literally able to take down several prototype, average-skilled players in yours (and their are a good handful who can). However, that is the very end of your rewards and if pursued for for even 2-3 lives runs a net negative. PROPOSAL: Think of prototype geared suits as elites or bosses in a game in some side-scrolling loot game like say: Diablo II. Why do you bother killing them? Especially if they are challenging? Because they are likely to be pinatas-o-loot. And when you can't beat them, you try to kill as many as possible, with friends...because they bleed good things...so why don't I get prototype gear and suits for killing prototype soldiers? Why don't I receive more ISK for destroying prototype gear? Where are the numbers so I can brag about how much general/advanced/prototype value I dismantled in a match or an ISK/death ratio? I personally could care less about getting protostomped. If I kill 1 suit I know for a fact someone got a little irritated. especially if it's with something ridiculous like a pistol or a plasma cannon. But it would make a huge difference if I could keep a count on it and get paid for the trouble. I'd rather be chasing them down for loot, then running away from them.

But the players who use the real proto gear (not the Neo stuff) EARNED the right to equip it. So who am I to tell them when they can and cannot use the fruits of their labour.

Drop reviving for the time being unless you only play ambush and focus more on nanohives, uplinks and repping, if your a logi like me , unfortunately it is diffcult to always pick your battles because invariably you are in the thick of the action and if your teammates start getting dropped around you because they are massively outgeared there isn;t much else to do than turn around and bend over and its not that i want it taken of the game it just needs to be stopped from being so easily used in public matches, i actualyl suggested an sp limited game mode to at least give players somewhere to go rather than being pubstomped by the usual protobears

Saying I need to man up and that this is a cutthroat style of game and then complaining about aim assist meaning that you die more in proto gear when you have the EXACT SAME BENEFIT from AA as everyone else is laughable .. i'll just keep killign protoscrubs with suicidal remotes in militia gear and add more people to the victim of the Miltia AR tally on the handle of my now green gun xD

Once more of those battles are reliably available you will see much less in pubs. I don't have any proto suits but I run with organized squads so we do our fair share of redlining - it's not that fun, really, when the match is effectively over in 5 min. (unless maybe you just got protostomped yourself in the prior match, then it does make you feel a little better, lol) There are surely some a holes who love stroking their e peen while redlining scrubs but for the most part I would guess most of the problem is that there aren't many other battles elsewhere to join. We have always tried to do FW as much as possible but waiting 30, even 45 min or more for a battle to show up gets old fast!
