This is exactly what Dust needed. People who know when to stop shooting and take cover and use the map to their advantages should be winning the gunfight, not the people that have always been "lol, this game sux, but I'll just AFK SP farm anyway." Then you guys to full proto where no one can lay a finger on you and you kill them in 3 shots effortlessly.
Welcome to the real game. Adapt or die
I would just tell you to leave to save everyone, including you, the trouble, we all know it won't take long for you to come back, it never does :l
The thing is this: terrain and the environment doesn't provide the cover of which you are attempting to speak of. The issue with the new aim-assit is the fact that people at more extreme ranges are scoring hits easier than ever before because the aim assist magnetically draws the weapon and the first couple of rounds off a burst or stream onto the center mass of their target.
This kind of shite doesn't require skill. It just requires someone to be a fraction of a second faster than the next person. Stack this on top of the fact that NONSENSE that is the fact that the AR has GREATER range (both in optimal and falloff ranges) than a laser based weapon puts the AR into the forever FOTM category. It seems that since the AR was the first, it remains so. And in the case of the forgegun, I see the issue of which Ted speaks of. Imagine a magnetically attenuated aim-assist function on a heavy weapon platform that makes it exponentially easier to spot, track, and hit larger targets (i.e., tanks)? No fun and it is fking expensive. And all the work that he has put into the game, which I have played with and seen Ted on here for over a year and change, it frustrates me that it happens, that this is considered a "solution" or a "fix" by CCP devs, and that this shite (i.e., the lack of open player testing on SISI of these supposed fixes) is allowed to pollute the game that is already struggling to recover from previously poorly executed decisions and corrections for balancing.
How long have you been on Boxoffire? Are you even remotely aware of the steaming piles of dung that has been thrown our way since this game has been in closed and open beta, let alone since "release" (FUK I use that term REALLY LOOSELY!)?
Personally I have been on here since June 6, 2012, closed beta. And as for the rest of you trolls, don't you haver anything else better to do, like pull the wings of of flies? I am often surprised at the amount of passive aggressive hostility that is spewed from the lips of the "newer" player base only because they have the perception that in some way they shouldn't be responsible for their ****** performances of interpersonal interactional patterns and linguistic applications. There seems to be a total lack of cognitive abilities here on these forums, save for but a sparingly few number of people that seem to understand the concept of reflective understanding and its application in your chosen discursive interactions.
I wonder if anyone of the trolls that seem to have taken residence under the bridge of DUST 514 have ever thought in the manner that if some one were to say the same crap to them that they spew on these forums, but in person during a face to face interaction, would you take offense to someone being a blatant and arbitrary ass to them for no reason other than they thought it would be funny? Ever had someone make fun of you when you were a child?? Do you even know of the concept and analogy of "walk a mile in their shoes"?
JUST LIKE JITA, I SAY LET IT ALL BURN; the bridge, the designers, and especially the trolls. The rest of us have been working on it being built, and have been brought in (i.e., those of us that have been here since closed beta) to do so, but obviously that is not even being taken into consideration nor is there any respect given for all of our hard work. |
