So, seems to me that the only way to solve the aim assist - is to make it a level playing field for DS3 users. In my opinion, there shouldn't be an aim assist button - I think that idea sucks. This is an online FPS, not a single player FPS (such as Borderlands 2 and the high aim assist).
If we were to go along with the previous paragraph; would you prefer to have aim assist enabled or disabled.
Myself personally, I'm not too sure. The aim assist would allow DS3, to match closer to KB/M (if KB/M get's raw input and no virtual joystick BS (or so I''m told lol, by friends)). However, as a competitive person - I believe it should come down to skill only and there should be as little computer manipulation, as required.
What do you guys think? |

I'm starting to think that the worst bit about aim assist is that it compensates for weapon kick.
The second bit is that it works outside a weapon's optimal range.
The third bit is just that the AR has really low dispersion so its damage application is fairly constant all the way out to effective range. |

1.4 means alot...there's just so much in it that I'm enjoying.
It's a nice piece of work that continues to show the promise of Dust
Before 1.4? Aiming is effed
Post 1.4? Aiming assist sucks
It's like if CCP says blue, yall say red and vice versa
Let's be positive people and show appreciation for the commendable work they did with 1.4
Especially under all the negativity that surrounds the forums EVERYDAY |

in my gaming experince i notice alot of great games like fc3 have been ruined with aim assist... i mean i have a blast at the single player but when i jump into non co-op so annoying people just use aim assist so much to the point its easy. like bf3 has close or no aim assist making it more enjoyable in my opioun. even in single player in some games aim assist is annoying. i always turn my assist off but in games like star hawk and just about any game your able to snap aim that has high aim assist. im forced to use aim assist cause everyone else uses it so i can barely kill them with my natural aim. so i hope aim assist don't become annoying in dust, if its close to no aim assist great but if your able to snap aim and stuff then thats a huge problem |
