The only way to play now is to stack EHP and outlast the enemy as you both kill each other almost instantly. Then after you win that gunfight, you loose your second because your almost dead.
some ppl say this game is now better because "it is forcing ppl to use tactics and cover" You dont need aimbot to use tactics and cover, i dont understand how those in favor of aimbot can say this is a valid argument. This is an FPS, it should be assumed we are already using tactics and cover, expescially the better players of the game. No, we would not call ourselfs skilled if we did not use our brains and surroundings. The only difference with aimbot is its easier to shoot above or around the cover your hiding behind.
Dust has always been a game that rewards the skilled and intelligent players and those who have the most SP. Why should we set everyone on the same playing feild, setting everyone on par with everyone? Now, you do not need skill to play the game and it is okay if you are not as skilled as a player as the guy your shooting, the aim ''assist" will kill him as quickly as he kills you.
Yes, im saying someone with 4 mill SP and 2 months of playing time should continue to get blown away by someone with 22 mill SP and 10 months of gungame experience. The person with more experience has better aim, uses cover more efficiently, and has better gear than the noob but they come out almost even on gunfights. Is that balanced? It was before, when you, youknow. needed skill to win???
Quick question for ya. How do you know your opponent is noob? With this new MM, shouldn't your opponents be similar skill, supposedly? Is it because they are using inferior gear? Maybe they have Prof 5 and just using cheaper gear?
Maybe it's just the improved hit detection that is outclassing you? I notice that I melt very quickly now. I'm sure the aim-assist plays a role, but since I'm not doing the shooting at myself, I can't be sure of my opponents aiming skill.
Personally, I think it is a perfect storm. CCP slowed the strafe speed, improved hit detection, and "fixed" the aim-assist. All these things combined make auto weapons extremely efficient. They probably could of done with fixing the hit detection and strafe speed, and left the aim-assist for another patch. |

If you want a very direct answer, you can mail them after the game and ask them how much SP they have. Otherwise, you can tell how skilled they are by the gear they have, their tactics (flanking, retreating, strafing, equipment use, using cover, ect) and how they work with others as you play them through out the game. If someone is doing very poor in all of those, and you are making very efficient use of all of these but their still killing you there is a promblem
Skill Points does not a Vet make. Neither does gear. Though I agree with all your points regarding tactics and teamwork/coordination. |
