Quote:Because of aimbot, one day has passed and the vets already hate dust. We dont want to play this game when everyone is just as good as us because of an aim assist, that is not earned. Our millions of SP ahead of other players is now nonfactored because it only takes an AR to kill you now that they have near perfect accuracy, the delema only amplified with reduced strafe speed. The only way to play now is to stack EHP and outlast the enemy as you both kill each other almost instantly. Then after you win that gunfight, you loose your second because your almost dead.
I am a dust veteran, well more like an FPS vet since the Original Wolfenstein on my 286 pc, and the changes in 1.4 allow me to play better then 1.3 and i dont even use the Aim Assist since i use KBM.
In 1.3 i couldnt get close to my opponents because of the clusterf*cks of zergblobs roaming around, then if i did get close a wanker in a LAV would mow me over and if he didnt get me the 3 others would eventually get lucky while i fought off 6 opponents solo and 4 Lavs trying to roadkill me, Tanks knew at all times where every Red dot was and would just home in onto their kills, packed up ready to go in one shot.
And if that didnt kill me a Fused Nade would get me before they werent nerfed or a Slaylock to the feet 5000km next to me, but it killed me regardless of if i took cover, now there where 6 of these guys running a FOTM, throwing nades, shooting locks, massholing me to death or driving whatever netted them the most kills.
These guys called this being Skilled at the game.
Enter today, all these Vets are Awereness Blind, they dont see 46876 chevrons lighting up their kills for them, they have to actually use a thing called Eyes and their senser, i know awkward right ? They don't have any teamwork to begin with, they had the "Lets Blob that way because theres more Chevrons at A" right now the blob gets dispersed because Pro1 sees a chevron and thing whoooooo KILLL ...runs towards it and forgets he isnt backed up by 5 others, 2 tanks and 4 Lavs, so he gets roflowned because his skill at shooting was just inflated by Blobnumbers.
Quote: some ppl say this game is now better because "it is forcing ppl to use tactics and cover" You dont need aimbot to use tactics and cover, i dont understand how those in favor of aimbot can say this is a valid argument. This is an FPS, it should be assumed we are already using tactics and cover, expescially the better players of the game. No, we would not call ourselfs skilled if we did not use our brains and surroundings. The only difference with aimbot is its easier to shoot above or around the cover your hiding behind.
I don't use thig thing you call Aimbot and i am doing fine, if you are not doing fine, turn it on...your skill i guess isnt as good as you expect it to be, also before 1.4 ADS aiming was slow as **** and i needed 30+ cm of mousemat to accuratly track a moving swaying dancing at run speeds target, now i need 1 cm of mousemat to track your head, big diffrence in my accuracy.
Quote:Dust has always been a game that rewards the skilled and intelligent players and those who have the most SP. Why should we set everyone on the same playing feild, setting everyone on par with everyone? Now, you do not need skill to play the game and it is okay if you are not as skilled as a player as the guy your shooting, the aim ''assist" will kill him as quickly as he kills you.
with 47/3 games and 27/0, i am not noticing people are shooting better, there are just less ways to get cheap kills, in 1.3 i could not move or get killed by explosive at CQC, in 1.4 i havent been killed by explosive weapons.
Quote:Yes, im saying someone with 4 mill SP and 2 months of playing time should continue to get blown away by someone with 22 mill SP and 10 months of gungame experience. The person with more experience has better aim, uses cover more efficiently, and has better gear than the noob but they come out almost even on gunfights. Is that balanced? It was before, when you, youknow. needed skill to win???
Experience does not equal better aiming, your aiming consists of reaction speed combined with muscle memory for accuracy, if someone is a natural at this no amount of training will get you near him, also your awereness of your suroundings have been fed information by an artificial locator system, now that you have to locate stuff yourself your brain goes derp and you only notice stuff right in front of you.
Maybe its you that requires a crutch by saying, your SP is the holy grail of winning every fight thrown at you ?
I dont have any issues with people using Aim Assist and i don't even notice it while not using it myself.

I'll agree that it needs to be turned down a bit, but like others have said its not game breaking. Game breaking? No.... game changing?? Yes... The entire player field of DUST has changed their fits... regulators, rechargers and energizers are gone and its all about health points.... just wait it won't effect this Exmaple guy... hes been playing for a long time, will probably be rocking 900 health assault suits after the weekend. Every new player with less health and using the same system where you generally aim in the area and hit your target... will just get smashed... and yes its been a day and a bit... but these vet's adapt and show the massive flaw with this already. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEIB2lV7TE8 <------ why I'm on the forum's today... and will make much better examples in a montage.. in the coming day of painstaking editing and rendering :D
Thats odd, i went from 950 EHP (1.3) suits down to 500-600 (1.4) suits and i am doing better, though still sometimes need a big EHP one. |
