We dont want to play this game when everyone is just as good as us because of an aim assist, that is not earned. Our millions of SP ahead of other players is now nonfactored because it only takes an AR to kill you now that they have near perfect accuracy, the delema only amplified with reduced strafe speed. The only way to play now is to stack EHP and outlast the enemy as you both kill each other almost instantly. Then after you win that gunfight, you loose your second because your almost dead.
some ppl say this game is now better because "it is forcing ppl to use tactics and cover" You dont need aimbot to use tactics and cover, i dont understand how those in favor of aimbot can say this is a valid argument. This is an FPS, it should be assumed we are already using tactics and cover, expescially the better players of the game. No, we would not call ourselfs skilled if we did not use our brains and surroundings. The only difference with aimbot is its easier to shoot above or around the cover your hiding behind.
Dust has always been a game that rewards the skilled and intelligent players and those who have the most SP. Why should we set everyone on the same playing feild, setting everyone on par with everyone? Now, you do not need skill to play the game and it is okay if you are not as skilled as a player as the guy your shooting, the aim ''assist" will kill him as quickly as he kills you.
Yes, im saying someone with 4 mill SP and 2 months of playing time should continue to get blown away by someone with 22 mill SP and 10 months of gungame experience. The person with more experience has better aim, uses cover more efficiently, and has better gear than the noob but they come out almost even on gunfights. Is that balanced? It was before, when you, youknow. needed skill to win???
If you define skill as being able to texas 2 step then yes it to skill, I will concur adhesion tracking helps a little too much, but you realise apart from that all it does is change sensitivity! "Skilled" players will win because they get to the target first.
The real problem is the weapons, mor rather the hit detection fixes on the weapons, mean that already accurate and powerful ar have got worse, the texan 2 step was exploiting poor hit detection, howver actual strafing still works just not as well, weapons need less accuracy, less power, and a little less tracking assistance. |

In chromosome we had aimbot, and that wasn't that bad because:
1:It wasn't as strong as it is now.
2:We could break the aimbot with strafing (aka REAL gun game)
Sounds about right, the aim assist isnt as bad as people say and yet tonsee any of the, instagib tracking, headshot wander, or inputless aiming, but a slightly smaller area for fine aiming, and short lantency and sensitivity on adhesion properties would suffice, magnetism works perfectly, in fact I havent seen a better example of it, even in my programming classes! |

the higher the RoF the more the sticky glue aiming helps, so the sticky should be lowered from 50% to 30% on lasers and HMG/ARs, while staying the same for pistols and other small weapons.
It's not game breaking... then speak for yourself. Go on He did speak for himself but unlike you, he didn't use 600 words where 6 would suffice - your post could have read - 1. Waaah 2. Waaah 3. Waaaah 4. Aimbot 5. Baaaad! 6. Waaaah I do enjoy the endless posts of scrubs acting like they are awesome at this game and talking down to the player who bash their heads in so hard in game that they now eat out of their butts.......
Actually semper I have to ask you a question, has your kdr gone up or down, I have turned aim assist off, I didn't feel like I needed it, and my kdr has gone up! Consistently, yes the ttk is to high, but only a little, 20% longer would be perfect, your health is still important, and my recative plate has saved me more times than I care to admit.
The game is faster paced, yet more tactical at the same time, soloing just doesnt work anymore, nor should it, you have to think further than you can see!! Someti es its a little too quick, you need the oppurtunity to get to cover when caught out, but there havenbeen instances where my team and I have been ambushed by as many as 10 people, but we were prepared, we counter flanked them!
This is what dust is meant to be, this change has been for the better, if you dont like the game anymore, well Im sorry to say this to you but HTFU!!
Ive never felt the need to say it before but its time to adapt, before you get left behind!! |
