In Patch notes for 1.4 CCP have noted changes to HP visibility
Quote: HP bars and name tag visible only for what you are aiming/firing at
Could CCP please provide some additional information about what is intended to be happening with HP bars for Team mates specifically with this update? This can help us understand if some things we are seeing (i.e. HP not visible when rep tool equipped) is part of the way it has been set up or a bug.
In what circumstances should we be able to see the HP of our team mates? (i.e. gun equipped, gun aiming etc).
From a logistics perspective, we closely monitor team mate HP to be able to provide Repair Tool support which is currently very difficult. Some insight into what we can do in battle to make team mate HP visible would be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I'm a pure logistic and I have to switch to my gun just to see who has low health or not. |

just aim with the Rtool on the team member and you see his HP. I don't want my screen full with blue and red bars.

Tried this last night with very limited success.
Had squadmates calling out for reps & because I couldn't see their names or health bars easily, it took valuable seconds to get them to call out exactly where they were. Even then, sometimes I even had to set up a 'repair shop' and get them to run out of battle to find me - very difficult when they were already on low health & under fire!
It's very frustrating now - not as fluid as it was previously, where I could follow my squad closely and quickly tell who was taking damage and react accordingly. Running from green chevron to green chevron to see if it's the squadmate who called for quick reps is not fluid.
To fully play my logi role, I feel that we need to to see friendly health bars (squad and team) easily, maybe if only the repair tool was equipped? |

The Lai Dai Flux repair tool has a longer range than the distance at which the HP bars render by aiming the tool.
Also this suggestion is not successful most of the time nor is it practical for a logistics style of play |

I have the same problem. occasionally I can't see any names or shield or armor bars. Even when aiming down sight or using rep tool and having the dot on the target. This is rectified if I die and re spawn. This can happen a few times in battle. Also sometimes I can't run, also rectified by re spawn. |

An example of one of many similar situations:
My squad leader ran right at me (only knew this by the chevrons as couldn't even see his name), and it wasn't until he had run past that I realised that he was desperately low on armour, so had to run to catch him up.
That's despite looking almost directly at him the entire time. He couldn't call out to me as my name wasn't easily visible to him either
Would really like to know whether this is intentional or whether it will be amended so that we logis can see friendly armour bars at a decent distance at least? After months of knowing when to brave enemy fire to heal squad/team mates, having to guess how much damage they've taken before running to (hopefully) triage is frustrating now. |

^ this
It really bugs me when: I see someone needs to be repped so I pull out my rep tool and proceed to do so, but after a second or so the HP bars disappear so I can't tell when to stop repping and move on. |

You're in the minority that only bothers repping voice buddies or Corp mates right? The rest of us actually want to know what is going on around us. |
