Using a new control method is always tricky, and it's especially discouraging when using it in a competitive game. I used it for a couple of days back in chromosome and was hopeless with it. I had thought it might be amazing with a scout shotty.
I know someone who swears by a mouse with the Move navigation controller though. Sounds like a cool combo. |

I use it and I relly like it. It is a little slow to turn your character. selection wheel is a little akward. You cant get out of vehicles very easily. There is a considerable learning curve. Even with all the quirks I still prefere it to a DS3. The game is sooo much more fun.
You dont need to kill your toon. Just turn on the move and confige it on the tab in the options menue. All of your characters have both sets of controls. The main thing you need to do is to make sure you have the smallest dead zone you can get and you will need to invert the DS3 controller function vertical look. |

(Sharpshooter Chasis) I tried it but didnt like the ADS. The gun doesnt move to where you're aiming and it (Gun geo) gets in the way if they drop below it (an option to remove the guns geo when ADS would work well).
For hip firing it works well but the deadzone/turning speed is a little weird. Ive used it in Resistance and a bunch of other games and it was amazing. Good for sniping and mid range combat, but CQC it lacks turning speed to track dancing targets.
It creates a great level of immersion, but i dont know if it will do any good with the new aim assist, you may want to use the DS3 if youre worried about K/DR. Try it on a larger map with a basic gun to test it and tweek it to a comfortable feel, then try to engage. |

I've tried it. I went the full setup , with the move stick controller thing, in an official sharpshooter AR accessory.
http://us.playstation.com/ps3/accessories/playstation-move-sharp-shooter-ps3.html
It is FUN! After fine-tuning the dead zone, turning rate, and calibrating carefully... It's fantastic for frontline use.
But a pain in the rear for any kind of sniping. 'cause you have to ... you know.. be a "real" sniper. I had to gen up a little bipod rest for myself, then it was allright.
So basically:
1. Fun. 2. more difficult.. 3. WAAY more tiring. I could only do about 3 battles, before needing a serious rest!
PS: I'm really pissed they dont make the built-in mic on the "move" camera, work for voice talk. Arg.

Not tried it in 1.4, but it used to suck.
Even when resting your hands on a stable surface the cross-hair wouldn't stay still. Pulling the trigger meant it'd be all over the place. Even at minimum sensitivity. Sharp shooter cradle helps, but you can't really use that for extended periods.
Turn speed was awful. Yes, even when it was as high as possible.
...it was even worse a year ago though, so it could get useful some day ;). |
