Sucks to suck. Me and my healthy 2.10 k/d will keep taking our ar, scr and sniper pills. |

This is what I get for throwing my KDR into it. LOL!
This was a subtle post for those who stated that the MD was not the OP weapon that the vocal minority claimed it was, but that it was in fact balanced. The real problem was hit detection. CCP fixed the explosive hit detection after 1.1, so MD worked when everything else was broke!
I appreciate all the replies though! How bout this; my KDR sucks we know. But my WP/D sucks too! I think it comes out to 50:1 or so. I don't hack much, nor rez, nor repair. So that works out to a kill or 2 assists per death. I guess that's inline with my KDR..
So what's your WP/D? I know some of the top players are in the 250-300:1 |

Is that good? I calculated mine just for kicks... 1,263,610 WP & 3107 D = 406 WP/D. Is that good for a logi? |

I don't know. To be fair, since deaths aren't shown on the leaderboards, I took their kills, divided by KDR to get rough estimate of deaths, then divided WP by said estimate of deaths. But I didn't do everybody.
406 seems awesome though! |

I'd be careful with that. Hitscan is a technical thing, it means the weapon does instant damage, no leading and projectile travel time is an illusion. I know HMG is hitscan for a fact, but I thought that the AR and SMG actually track projectile travel. It could very well that they're all hitscan, and CCP just did a very convincing job with the in-game projectiles... True they are charactirised by simple linear trajectories, typically with little or no lead, and no drop, technically snipers in this game can defined as hitscan to!!
That's what you get when you weaponize velocity. |

Yeah true that, top leaderboard guys are all slayers usually. Hard to find top logis on the leaderboard. WP/D would be pretty cool stat to see a leaderboard on.
As long as they had like a 1000 death minimum to join or something. |

I was like 2.5 or 3.0 in Chrome and I am a solid 0.75 now.
1. I was a squad leader almost full time in chrome and now I never lead. 2. Sights in the LR changed and I had to change my play style.* 3. More OP weapons used against me than in Chrome.
KDR doesn't mean much to me, I go by actions because effectiveness on the battlefield doesn't really have a number. I usually have double digits ( with a good squad up in the 20s) assists and only a few kills. I use weapons to drop shields so my killers can finish them while I back off, reload and rep the team. I have seen DS pilots have zero kills and no WP yet change the whole battle to the better. Don't let big numbers impress you. Reputations should impress you and so should actions.
* I used an ELM in chrome but had perfect skills in range, damage and LR. I don't do OP.

Dont worry something will be done, the hit detection bonuses given to hitscans will be taken off, there nothing wrong with giving people aim assist, there is a problem when over 50% of damage is lost to hd and poor aiming controls, and the game is considered balance, will need some tweaking on ars, hmg, ascrs, scr, smgs and the like! Patches always come with teething problems!! LOL the only hitscan weapon in this entire game is the Lasor Rifle! Go ahead and try to prove me wrong!
I'm waiting! |
