Man, this had better be a pack full of BPO's or CCP are seriously living in cloud cuckoo land. |

Or both for 200k. Either way you split it it's still mental.
Think about it, that's paying the price of The Last of Us, for consumable weapons and suits, in a game that isn't anywhere near a finished product... |

A company ought to have a realistic valuation of its product. The only people I see buying this are those who've suffered collisions to the head. That's not a base to build your business on. |

Alternatively, they could sell no aurum at all because the players laugh at the stupidly inflated price they're trying to peddle their consumable crap at. |

Consumers can just stop buying aurum if they find it too expensive, simple solution.
Pretty sure no-one will be buying aurum to pick up an Allotek pack, that's for sure. |

Acturus Galaxy wrote:You sir, clearly have an issue with people making more than enough money to spare a few pennies on this pack. I would be surprised if CCP has not already made an marked analysis of its customers. Put this on the marked as some players are willing to pay for it. Like in real life you have luxury items only a few can afford, things that are unnecessary in your daily life but still nice to have.
There will always be plenty of idiots who like to buy expensive badges (see Apple customers), it's true. However, I think you are giving CCP far too much credit on them having done any kind of analysis. Remember, this is the company that needed to actually experiment with a 400 wp limit for the Academy to see it was a bad idea. The rest of us needed half a second of thought. |

How many fools do you see sporting monocles on their EVE avatar? Not very many.
A company should price things in order to cover the production cost firstly and to turn a tidy profit thereafter. If they price monocles to sell at one a day (I'm guessing), how many expenses does that cover? |
