The KB/M removal threads are getting old, and I think that CCP should just be honest with people. Letting folks whine about it day in and day out is not helping the environment of the forums, especially when their request is never going to be granted. I know that CCP can't discuss some long term details of Dust, but it's painfully obvious that if this game is to be as long lived as Eve, multi-platform support is a requirement. And the sooner the multi-platform aspects are integrated and settled, the better it will be for Dust. No PC gamer will tolerate anything less than the great mouse improvements that 1.4 have brought us, and there is no going back.
Please amend the forum rules to forbid discussing the removal of KB/M and help us all keep focus on other aspects of the game that need attention.
Thanks. |

Aiming with a kb&m can be compared to trying to hit a needle with a slingshot as a diabetic.
I definitely think that the mouse changes are a step in the right direction. More improvement are always appreciated, but 1.4 is the biggest bone they've thrown KB/M users in a long time. |

Hey KA24DERT, I haven't had a chance to play yet (long download and then server troubles during my limited time window last night.) Could you describe the feel of the Kb/M changes (I've read the patch notes)? It has been hard to get a sense of how the changes play and I'm getting antsy because I'll be at work for another ~5 hours. Cheers, Aramis
I have yet to try playing with a Hitscan weapon yet, but the major improvement is the ability to actually look around you and do 360s instantly. With passive scanning the way it is, it's absolutely critical to quickly survey your surroundings visually, and it was frustrating to get repeatedly ganked before I could get a bead on somebody. |
