i dig the ammo changes, as long as they do it right. It will depend on our smart, objective input however to make it so. The more baseless trolling we get on this will only make it worse, because this change certainly wont go away.
Lets focus on doing it right instead of just whining. |

Kekklian Noobatronic wrote:You're taking this one change under isolation. It's not being made by itself. Tanks are likely to get drastically tougher to compensate, and AV is being reworked as well. The vehicles that you use now - hull aside - will not be the vehicles that you pilot in 1.5.
Stop crying about a single change, when the entire system is being rebalanced.
pretty much.......man i hope it works.... |

Vance Vyth wrote:I would like to go around collecting ammo from supply depots that would be fun, and be a challenge. and you can always recall you're tank and get a brand new one if you run out of ammo.
i do want to note that is all speculation...aside from the supply depot... |

But Ill be rolling around and enjoying the "driving" of the tank. Who cares if someone destroys your tank, just get another and get back in there like everyone else does.
kinda like a heavy saying hes gonna stay at a supply depot cause he has no hives......

I don't believe there will be internal nanohives, but Iron Wolf Saber mentioned max ammo modules. I'll link it if I come across it.
meh.....id rather have an ammo skill like infantry.....as it is we get ONE skill per turret, it boring and already more expensive than infantry stuffs per skill. |

I would like to specialise or even buy my Ammo since I am essentially using the same stuff as EVE pilots. using Amarrian Frequency Crystals to fire my laser shots which recharge over time, or even buying the missiles or hybrid charges like in mech warrior games.
i would like that too, and in reality, we probs WILL have it......but not now. infantry will get it too, but not in 1.5
look at it this way....the road is being built......one step closer |

However, as someone with a tanker in his corp, I do agree that something needs to be done to balance the new Swarm buff. I don't think they should do anything to tanks until they at least look at what they can do to make it even for tankers and swarms.
i cant believe they buffed swarms to double the DPS an entire patch before 1.5......
but hey, i know they had their reasons and it was probably to balance LLAVs. Tanks and dropships were already broken before so a swarm buff technically didnt change things, just polarized the situation even more.
with the roadkill changes and swarms changes, hopefully infantry can have an easier time of being braindead without having to look both ways when crossing the street. Cause, you know.....god forbid something that isnt an AR kills infantry....
take my logic mixed with sarcasm ROAR |

You still have to look before crossing, but at leastmif he misses he can just reverse for another go, what we'll see is a more tactical use of roadkilling as an area denial asset, hes making a run for C SPLAT!!
i just cant wait to see the first blueberry who thinks roadkilling is now extinct........and then skips merrily across open terrain on his way to an objective.......vrooom....... |

Baal Omniscient wrote:Tanks WILL have limited ammo, but each round will be packing a bugger punch. Meaning that if you manage your ammo and modules properly, you will be doing far BETTER than you are now, not worse as you seem to be trying to claim. You'll actually have to micro manage your vehicle much more carefully, but you'll be getting more out of it in the process, especially since your damage mods are getting a massive buff with the only hitch being you have to micro manage them since they become active modules. Tanks will actually be a much more involved class to spec into.
Or, to put it into forum speak: Join the club, every other class in the game has to deal with the same thing for over a year while you've had infinite ammo the entire time. And some have to deal with both ammo limitations AND overheat.
