I bet the same people complaining about the aim assist will end up crying about KB/M being OP if aim assist gets removed. The DS3 DOES NOT need aim assist to be competitive, its bullshit and people should stop propagating it. Gamepads are competitive to kb/m if you have any semblance of skill. This is coming from a PC fps player who uses a gamepad on PC PC buddy its a console game, not a fuc king PC
yes, it is a console game with m+kb support. |

This is coming from a PC fps player who uses a gamepad on PC PC buddy its a console game, not a fuc king PC yes, it is a console game with m+kb support. it does have m+kb support but it is still a console game though, so every console game has aim assist in some form or another. Its a standard in this kind of game industry and they need it to compete with games like BF4 with its top notch shooting mechanics.
top notch mechanics? if you mean becoming increasingly easier like COD than i guess you have a point. just because something is an industry standard doesnt mean its good. I think its pretty clear that games like COD have been ruining the industry for a while now.
Aim assists are fundamental to console games because of the inherent flaws in using a joystick in a game that requires precision. its not a precision input. Especially when m+kb is in the mix.
HOWEVER, adding an aimbot isnt the answer. There is a word for it, its called cheating. Enjoy your devhax while you can because once they fix it your going to suck again.

The people who are god become better and new people having a better access. CCP did a very god job this time; I'm hoping to see some new and fresh content in the next patches. Let me explain. I have 8 rl buddies who all tried Dust, and no one kept playing after a view tries. After the patch 1.4 two people are paling again (after I told everyone to give it a try), they gave me the feedback that this game feels more like a shooter now and that they can finally hit something. If this two spread the word about Dust improving I bet more of my friends will come back. Me, as a veteran I feel that the aiming help is very welcome, I enjoy it. Mossellia Delt wrote:
you're implying I still dont play PC fps's, which I do. I just want dust to succeed and scrubby console aim assist bullshit shouldnt be part of it.

Actually it can be anything up to a certain range. I believe the forge aim assist is at 10~20m or so but so far I can't say for certain. It is still there but I still aim by myself at the slowest sensitivity for my forge.
CCP said forge dosnt get the new aim assist |

This isn't a game people turn on for an hour if it is then keep it. This is a game people live and breathe and neglect all other games like a red headed step child for. We log on everyday to get better, with our skills, with our aim and tactics. If you play a game to have a computer do all the icky hard part of aiming... for you?... why play it? your wasting everyone else's time. its common knowledge controller users are at a disadvantage in smooth control as well as accuracy controls.

Dust is hardcore enough? lmfao, go play quake, unreal tournament, counterstrike or GORE, then come back here. If you think dust is even remotely hardcore you need to pull your head from the sand and take a look around.
Competitive is not the same as hardcore my friend. Dust is hardcore on its own. ItGÇÖs complicated, it is squad based, itGÇÖs GÇ£die and loos sh*tGÇ¥, itGÇÖs GÇ£you shouldnGÇÖt die in this gear itGÇÖs very expensiveGÇ¥ and so on. Its complicated? The only thing complicated about dust is the clunky UI. If you think a bit of math is hard you should go back to grade school. Why so aggressive? Have I done something? Have you ever try to explain how to fit Drop suits the GÇ£right wayGÇ¥? What weapons, tracking speed, effectively range, roles, limitations, fittings and modules are? I have, I did it 8 times. It is complicated as hell, for new people believe me. They sometimes asked me questions I wouldnGÇÖt believe or even think about it.
for someone not coming into Dust from EVE or someone who doesnt have much experience with FPS games outside of recent CODs or BFs, Dust IS a complex game. Having to build up a fitting from nothing, while staying on top of the different factors you want while keeping your personal skills high can be daunting. Keep in mind A LOT of people who play this game ARE kids. |

Mossellia and Sete, you are absolutely right. However, the thing we are discussing right now are the people who don't understand this, who are entitled and want things handed to them on a platter (aimbots, matches with no vehicles or proto suits, one-shottable vehicles), or those who simply can't be bothered to put in as much time and effort and who still want to be top dog.
Fact is, CCP DOES allow this, just in the form of AUR items. And hey, it's a free game and they need to make money. |
