Another QQing thread about something that every player can use for free being OP. I always used Aim Assist before the 1.4 update but because of these threads I decided to change it up and see what it's all about...It wasn't that much of a difference.
Listen.
You get more freedom with AA off but you are prone to mess up your aim if you slack. You get more assistance with AA, obviously, but you lack the freedom that others who don't use it, have. With AA it's easier to spray into someone's body. With AA off it's easier to get head shots on enemies.
There are pros and cons to both styles of play, get over it.
All of this super elitism makes most of you guys look weak-sauce since most of those who use AA still can get outgun by a BETTER PLAYER. Cry all you want...AA is automatically on for all players when they first activate a character in Dust :I and you can still pub stomp if you have the skill and the squad to do so.

harden da fugg up Benefits everyone but Scouts. 1v1s are now based on eHP, not strafing or aim. Also, AA was disabled in 1.3.
Was it? I thought it was turned on...or at least I turned it on? Meh. I used it before then and in previous updates.
I don't know how the scouts truly do work in the game now BUT last time I checked 1 v 1s with a Scout aren't supposed to happen face to face most of the time. I'm assuming you're implying face to face because you added that strafing isn't a help in the 1 v 1. When I played Scout(In Chromosome and before <.<) I'd die by going face to face and had to rely on out maneuvering the enemy with my SMG.
IMO
With the scanning now "nerfed" scouts should be able to do more damage since they work best when they don't show up as a red dot. o_O A shotgunner should be doing extremely well now with or without AA.

For ****'s sake. Does no one understand the handicap that comes along with using AA? You keep saying it...Hip-Fire. How many people with AA get head shots consistently? Free-Aim allows you to shoot into the head with better precision. Blah. And now you guys are whining because of this?
HARDEN THE **** UP. I'm using Free-Aim and it's barely a difference for me. In fact, I just smacked someone down with hip-fire. I bet you they think I'm using AA just because the hits REGISTERED.
Weak mercenaries calling others scrubs because they can't deal with AA being improved...
Edit: And actually having a better hit-box too. |
