Sorry but you wanna talk about the greatest FPS ever being MAG? buahaha, that game has almost as many flaws as dust. In many ways dust is better, but calling it the best?....pffft ahaha. Oh well, lets just forget about the Unreal tournaments, or CS:S.
Even 3rd person games have almost irrefutable bests, like star wars battlefront 2, or either of the console MGO's.
But MAG....buahaha, thats a good one. |

Some of these posts do make me laugh, its a free game, they will fix the stuff which is broken, what more could you ask really?
The first week or so after patch even is hot fix territory, playing eve so long and other mmo's have taught me that. Having played wwiiol for alot of years prove that these games are a labour of love at times.
The main thing you can do is just document whats wrong, try to provide good evidence and feed it back through the forums.
Having a little paddy on some internet forum doesn't really help fix anything.

Neither Mag nor Dust are 3rd person games... Also there is no such thing as irrefutable best, as that would mean that every single one who played a certain game would think that it is perfect, which is impossible. Sure you might believe that those who don't say that Battlefront 2 is the best 3rd Person shooter just don't have any taste in games, but on the other hand you mentioned CS:S (probably as a good game) which is called awful by a lot of people. Including some hardcore CS 1.6 players and other people who just find no appeal in games where you mindlessly shuffle ... pardon me .... bunnyhop through the same map over and over and over and over again (WAIT WHAT? NOT PLAYING DE_DUST? BURN THOSE HERETICS!!!!) to do the same lame task of planting / defusing a bomb over and over again.
Personally I would place MAG a lot higher than CS:S (which would remain somewhere at the bottom of the pit, I can't think of a first person shooter I had less fun with). Certainly not the best fps game evar, but with certainty the fps with the highest simultan players natively supported on one map that has been released up to this point. |

Don't worry there is only so far you can get in PayDay 2 before it stops being rewarding unlike in Dust and EVE. |

funny those post reminds me 10 years ago on the eve forums , except the fps parts ofcourse.
pvp is unfair , takes 2 years skilling , UI sucks balls , server lags makes battle impossible , eve will be dead in a year etc etc
back then major mmo where creating to like now great fps on the horizon.
anyway that was 10 years ago , and i got only 3 females left in my live , my daughter , my wife and eve :)
now i have a dog also called dust 514 , he dont listen , he is ugly , but i starting to love that beast. |

MAG gets shut down in January, Zipper was shut down a long time ago. MAG was fun though. I don't understand why they released paid DLC instead of doing what the community asked. Maybe Zipper would still be up. That's what they get I guess. Make a money grab and don't fix the game, so stupid.... Anyways, no, there are Ex-DICE guys at CCP though, I believe. It is sad to hear that MAG is getting shutdown. I played that game when it was released back in 2007. Day 1 purchase for me and enough for me to play it till I got my platinum on it. Yes, you heard me correctly. I got 100% on MAG because it was the best game out at the time. It slowly died down because they didn't release new content sooner. If they would have done that and made those updates free, then I would be playing that game right now instead of this pile of garbage...
January 2010 you're a few years off there :P
It's the only game I also have the platinum for. 3.8 KDR, 80,000 kills, 1000 grims but I don't play anymore. |

MAG's in my top 5 games of all time and is the best shooter I've ever played but to be honest with you, Zipper were
absolutely atrocious, they had a good idea but no brains. |
