I don't expect a hotfix anytime soon but it REALLY would help to get a good increase to scan radius for all dropsuits. I'm using a complex Precision Enhancer on my Assault GK.0 but I can only see people on my radar if they're VERY close. I miss the old values... |

active scanner.
passive scanner had range reduced because you no longer rely on it as your sole source of spotting an enemy outside of LOS. Use the things that are given to you. |

I think precision enhancers and range amplifier modules get a buff, keeping the values similar to now makes scouts much more viable as well as providing incentive to wear these massively underused modules, also bacon and scanners are the new FotM.

- Active Scanner doesn't give WP
- I need my Nanohives
- I don't use a Logi Suit

They need to implement scanning fall off, and then remove range enhancers and rebalance precision enhancers.
I can only imagine how bad it is in pubs now with a 10m scan radius. |

Absolutely. A 10m scan radius is pretty poor.... however, I think that scouts should be the only ones to have an increased scan radius, and even then only to 15m or so. Given the heartiness of assault suits, I'm not really feeling too bad that their scan radius is so small.
The speed, lagging hit-box, poor ehp, low PG/CPU and many other things makes me very against taking away the last remaining hope of scouts: situational awareness. It's crap as it is, but with a few range extending modules and max skills it can be decent, at least for the Gallente. But you forgo speed, shields, armor and regen.... meaning that in order for me to have a range of on the order of 40m or so, and be able to detect other scouts of moderate skill level I have sheilds 87, armor 162, no regen and no speed.
I feel your pain, but that is the way it should be for assault suits.

Then you should find some squad mates who have active scanners, I think the change promotes teamwork and forces lone wolves to resort to "line-of-sight" scanning, or using your eyes as the usually say ;) |

2-ó
Maintain overall ratios, buff logi range, buff assault precision, buff scout overall save profile, let swarm launchers target heavies with nerfed damage or lock time. |

I disagree a little. The profile on scout suits is rather worthless right now when you cant see anyone coming. Instead they need to make it so you can see 'most' people nearby with passive scanning. This lures people into a false sense of security so when that sneaky scout comes in and kills you, you never knew he was there. |

Range needs a buff. I've said this maybe 10-15 times in the last two months. If you don't have enough range to start with the % based bonuses just aren't potent enough to make a difference. With max skills and a complex mod you still only get to 20 m radius. Not worth much. Even the gallente scout with a complex mod only gets 32m. Which makes it just about chromosome range.
Hell if you even go to two modules, now the medium and heavies have a 32 m radius. And the scout has 47 m radius. Which is finally useful. But wait. Now the advanced scout suit has no more low slots. And the proto only has two left. No extra armor or biotics for us. And I'm sure that hurts the buffer significantly on medium and heavies for a marginal benefit....
Nobody uses dampeners right now. Because nobody has a reason to. ie no one has enough range to see anyone let alone a dampened suit. Active scanners might be more popular now but the advantage of not showing up to scanners is a very fringe event and not worth the fitting cost and the loss of a slot to a dampener module... |

I think I've seen you or someone else post this in various other threads. This is definitely another way to work the issue, however if this were to be the case this would really just be another way to allow suits with superior CPU/PG and slots (logi, and even assaults....) to again usurp the scout at what should be their natural proficiency.
If a logi can out range, dampen, and precision a scout, and have more base HP, base regen and have an additional high and low slot (or 2) left over... there really isn't much hope.

Nope. Think of it this way. A scout can move at 9-10 m/s with biotics. That means a scout might show up for 1 second (if that) on your minimap before they knife or blap you (not that they can now with shotgun aiming and hit detection at an all time low....)
Range is just too low right now for fear of ursurping the active scanner role. A misplaced fear might I add. |

passive scanners dont give WP assault suits are not the end all be all suit.
this game requires teamwork, so get someone with a scanner.
edit: i WILL say 10 meters for the passive scanner is a joke |

Even my logi has dampening skilled, and suits with dampeners on.
Only suit/role i dont bother with spare fits for stealth are heavies.
the mods work, scout/sniper mate on a roof, was aiming at him and getting a change in reticule colour, and i could hit him (minor damage..well outside ASR optimal), and yet still i was getting no target intel or red chevron over his head...
a scout suit with stacked complex dampeners is not meant to be easily detected. |
