About 98% of the time this is how I upgrade my skills so I could access new items. I find a weapon, module, or whatever I wanted, then upgrade until I have access to the tier I want. It was a very simple way to get what I needed and quickly, plus it allowed me to easily see how much it will cost and also made it easy to see the info about that skill (like what bonus it gives).
Now the process of acquiring a new item is a lot less user-friendlily, and requires sorting through the skills manually to find the right one, and also remembering what level was required for each.
Yes the market looks less cluttered, but my goodness, this is a terrible change. |

I joined somewhere near the end of Precursor build, so I don't think I ever got to see that. But I have wanted such a feature for about as long as I can remember. Restocking fits to a specific number is how I restock, and it takes forever. If I just blindly restock then I will have restocked redundant items which serves absolutely no benefit to me and is a waste of ISK.
This new change to the market is just as awful, as among other annoyances, theory-crafting fits and new items is now going to be a massive PITA. Why do you do theses things CCP? Does anybody in the development team actually play this game? And if so why aren't they catching these changes and saying "Wait hold on, that might not be a good idea".
You guys got it right when you added the new skill-tree system, cause you still allowed us to use the old skill-list. Why not do the same for this, give us the option instead of just removing it! |

Nerfing the UI, why exactly? i never knew this was implemented! Oh My God... Why on earth did they remove it? I pray this gets "added" with every new patch. Ugh! They removed this? No no no no no. I liked being able to restock individual items; I used that thing all the time, to save on ISK. Put it back, CCP!
Restocking fits hasn't changed in 1.4, but in one of the first builds when you restocked a fit it would restock only the items that had less than the restock value you chose, rather than how it is now... restocking a fit just restocks everything equally, even if you have 200 of one item and 0 for the rest.
You can still restock individual items in 1.4. |

Going to bump this.
I currency have 2.4 million SP unallocated points, and am trying to figure out what I might want to get. In the past I could quickly see how much the level 5 (or any level) of a weapon/module or whatever cost in the marketplace, then double it to find out what it will roughly cost to reach a certain level. This made it relatively simple to theory-craft the overall cost of multiple items, then weigh my decision in what I wanted to do.
But now, that is all gone. All I can see if the next level cost of an item, not it's level 5 cost. And the worst part is I have to back out of the marketplace to manually look up these skills to see their cost and bonuses. This change is about as form over function as it can possibly get.
CCP, please bring back the marketplace updating just as it was, or at the very least give us an option to enable/disable it (the best solution). |
