I tried the rubber band thing (purely for scientific purposes) and I can say I was kicked from the game when I only rubber banded the left analog stick. When I redid the rubber band on both sticks AFKing works just like it did before. Except now everyone will be spinning in circles in the MCC. |

lol. I'm sure if it gave me ISK then I would have received SP. I am trying it on an ALT and the match is almost over. I will report back. |

OK. Match over. A few things. I unchecked Ambush. Got an Ambush OMS. Whatever. I ran off to a quiet corner and proceeded to spin in circles rubberbanded. I recieved 3,424 Sp and 180,364 ISK. For absolutely nothing....
I should add that I've never AFKed for SP. I AFK on my alt purely to pay for my derpship habit.
edit: I guess AFKing is still not going to maximize SP gains from the event. I did absolutely nothing and still went over the 3000 max by 424. |

But as far as Rubber bands go, I've been told it's pretty rubber band proof (and if you do find the right arrangement to make them work, please tell us via support ticket so we can fix it.) Obviously this isn't going to be perfect, but it should significantly cut down on incidences of AFKing. If it doesn't have a noticeable impact we'll re-evaluate. SourceSo dont worry guys this antiafk measure is totally afk proof because ccp said so (im sorry logibro, your a swell dev and all, but you fell subject to the CCP silliness bug :P)
Just earlier while testing I got kicked. There is no warning. Just back in MQ all of a sudden. |

No, sorry let me clarify. The first attempt with only the left analog failed. And I was given no warning. So far having both analogs rubber banded seems to work fine.

Oh, and I am using Wolfman's Officer Rubber Band, so I know that was not the issue. |

Perhaps there are other variables?
I'm sorry. You're right. It was actually the right analog stick I tried the first time. So I guess just the right stick won't work but just the left stick will. Hmmmmm. Rubber Band proof...... |
