I was browsing the many adv suits available to me and fitting adv gear with adv goodies while having dreams of aurum plums and how I could hulk out into a super omni-soldier with aurum when I abruptly realized that there are no basic aurum suits! Only the specialty suits get early-access aurum preview suits.

 T.T

Now I have to get all the specialty suits to ADV.
 My new skill plan:
 Amarr Sentinel to III
 Amarr Logi to III
 Amarr Assault to III
 Gallente Logi to III
 Gallente Assault to III
 Caldari Assault to III
 Caldari Logi to III
 Minmatar Logi to III
 Minmatar Assault to III
 Minmatar Light Frame to III
 Minmatar Scout to III
 Gallente Light Frame to III
 Gallente Scout to III
 Amarr Commando to III
 Biotics to V
 Kin Cats to V

 Someday... someday T.T

Makes it alot easier to keep your sp trickling into the plan.

I don't bother with aurum gear. I blow through way too much equipment when experimenting new flex builds.

Pretty much if you play long enough you don't have a choice but to save up.

"Children of Amarr, Beloved of God
Do not fear the dark heavens
The stars are a sign unto you
To bring the Light to dark places
And so many wondrous lights we carry
 Illuminating peoples and worlds
Know that our empire is holy
Set apart for an immortal destiny
 Stand true, Children of Amarr
Let the rays of our enlightenment
 Shine ever before the Almighty."

A lot of times, I play around with aurum suits/ weapons before I make a major SP investment. I just ran my proto gallente medium suit and bought every single light weapon aur variant and made a new fit for each. That's basically how I learned to stop worrying and love the Plasma Cannon. Now I'm investing all my SP into that branch (already fully AR'd up).

Then I just use those versatile suits situationally, usually I don't like the MD, but when the need/opportunity arises, I will throw down a couple.

It's a simple way to try out and enjoy more than one playstyle.

I did the same thing with the forge/hmg and heavy, I run around with a skinweave and the 'Broadside' MH-82, simply because I suck with the HMG, but I think it's super fun, but have no SP to invest in ti. Though it's probably what I skill into when the Gallente Heavy arrives.

I hit he cap one time. I feel your pain. Between life, EVE and DUST I don't have the time to cap because I am not a killer. I just broke 10m SP a week ago.
