Heyo!
I was mulling things over with my sister yesterday and we talked about how the game lack a "Scrimmage" option.
What is Scrimmage?
Quote: An informal sports contest or practice match which does not go on the regular season record
What does this mean?
What we thought of is an option where, as a Corporation, we can host a Scrimmage match where the Corporation and its members would be able to land on a map and practice tactics, squad deployments and the likes. This would, in turn, make each Corporation much more prepared when Planetary Conquest is waged on them.
What are the Pros?
- Well, one would be that, some Corporations would be able to help their new members in understanding the concept of Dust 514 in more than just making videos and giving lecture; just like Dust University (which I am proudly representing).
- Two would be that Corporations would be much more prepared with their matches when the times comes for their defense of their Districts.
- Three would be that friends can battle one another without having to Q-sync.
- Fourth would be that friendly/allied Corporations could pit their best with each other without the thought of losing their districts in PC or the hassle of Q-syncing. Think of it as a friendly match.
What are the Cons?
- People could probably abuse these to get their KDR/War Points/Kills/WLR up.
- There are only Squads of sixes available right now.
How to work through the Cons?
- All matches would be only available through the use of Militia Gear, unless agreed otherwise (having an option for this in the menu would be great which would require both parties to agree upon before entering the match itself)
- A squad would "challenge" another squad, then the "leading squad" could then start inviting members into the warbarge. I suggest a 5 minute counter just so everyone could get in and squad up.
- All matches are not recorded in terms of KDR/WP//Kills/WLR. Its just plain and simple fun without the hassle of thinking about those.
Now that I'm done, what do you guys think? Its just an idea that I hope someday get implemented but who knows?
Also, I'm sorry if there is already a thread like this. Having to share this immediately just made me want to create a new thread instead of trying to find an old one.
Happy Hunting! |

I was thinking of a no-rewards kind of thing? Also, I added that all results from the match would not be recorded on the said character (e.g.: KDR/WP/Kills/WLR). This would make the option gameplay much more carefree and enjoyable for both srimmagers. |

Yep! It basically is more for new members to practice and friends/corps to duke it out without having to worry about PC and all that stuff.

Sadly, the Rambo Mentality never dies. But mostly, with this game option, you can teach newer players to use their sorroundings to their advantage! |
