In EVE there is a career to be made as smuggler of goods. Especially drugs (boosters) which are produced from harvested gas and then delivered to capsuleers to give them an edge in their endeavors in space.
Problem is it only sounds exciting when in reality is not. Smuggling even got worse (less fun) over time due to change of some mechanics.
In DUST we only have AUR boosters to boost up our SP gains. Boring.
When demi-gods of space and ground crave for more options to interact between each other, why not give them something else beside OB to be able to do it? Why not give us drugs? After all drugs are what make life in this cluster of ours bearable.
CCP promised long ago it will iterate on smuggling/drugs mechanics. EVE-DUST link needs to grow. And while we all accepted that ten years old economy is too delicate to incorporate immortal soldiers at once, we obviously need some steps toward integration soon.
Selling and buying drugs would be nice first step. Cool one that will benefit our bodies, souls, wallets. One that will bring sky and earth together and spread love through the cluster. It might help War Room people, too.
Please CCP, give to us, your people, some good stuff. |

Asked for more drugs, 1.4 made even existing (red) ones obsolete.

Most of boosters are illegal in HS, not all. Beside boosters there is also other banned stuff, which opens place for 'smuggler' gameplay. As of now this is very boring in EVE and there is not so old topic in which one of the devs told they will iterate on it in future.
So when smuggling and drug production comes to its turn to be looked upon, like bounty-hunting not long ago, CCP could do a nice thing and keep DUST in sight.
I know a lot of people from, what little there is left, specialised drug producing/selling EVE corps would love to have some stuff made for us mercs.
It doesn't need to happen tomorrow, but it would be nice way to boost the link. Without endangering fragile economies. Just that. |
