Just until now I have realised that there is only one true OP weapon, not the AR, not the SCR, but the Mass Driver.
Once I discovered it through constant deaths, I found it to be too powerful for its own good, it makes the game unfair.
Knowing that the TAC AR was nerfed, I thought it might be good to push CCP for a nerf of the mass driver.
I hope that they will nerf it, the thing shoots about 8 rounds of explosive and they are by all means strong rounds.
No one should have to put up with this weapon, it is ungodly in nature and design, it must have a nerf.
Going by the patch notes, I see CCP are 'buffing' it, this itself is unacceptable. I don't get why they are doing that.

Only nerf that is acceptable is a slight damage nerf. But nothing will stop 12 people from spamming mass drivers. |

Because the Tac AR is completely useless when trying to kill enemies at medium-long range, like it was designed to do.
You obviously missed the memo about the full-auto ARs now being the best gun in the game. |

Ive always found the best counter to a mass driver user is my own mass driver, seems to kill all but the ones in the black suits... Also when I run my GEK suit airburst M1's seem to do the trick too. OP is just mad and or bad. |

More situational awareness. If you hear that familiar cha-kunk..bang, find the MD user flank and take him out asap. Will help your team faster than requesting for a nerf. |

Dude. Have you used it before? It's not very versatile. If someone gets the higher ground your MD is practically useless. Also, it carries pretty much no ammo so I've often ran out mid-fight and died as a result (I'm a logi, don't have a sidearm). Some floors don't even allow splash damage, meaning you have to impact em. MD doesn't need a nerf.
Oh, and if they're next to you, you'll probably end up killing yourself |

The best way to counter a MD is to go afk in the MCC.

Either bum rush them so they damage themselves and potentially kill themselves (this is what I do when I don't have my MD with me)
Or like i said on side note - Counter a MD with your own MD.
It's as simple as that.

Ok fundamental flaw in ur thread. You should discover a weapon not through constant deaths but through kills. You are welcome  ...
I know I should stop right there because it is self-explanatory but hey these are DUST forums, we all know it's not realistic. Here is the real arguement:
Show me a good MD player outperform a good AR player consistently (go to pain of making a video as a proof) and I will jump on your boat and will fight your naval battles. Until then all these threads are just butt hurt whinning. |

Yeah, I'd like to see how much ass whooping that team would suffer who committed 12 to MD. Sure it's awesome in CQC but last I checked our maps are about 1 km across. |
