Hello dust players and devs. When the playstation 4 comes out what will happen to dust514? Will dust move onto the ps4 and/or stay on the ps3? |

p2p will of course effect dust a lot! It would most likely decrease the player count by a good amount which would look bad for CCP. |

No... Free games won't require a paid subscription from what I heard ( the servers are CCP's anyway)...
We had heated debates abou this and CCP confirmed that DUST would outlive its plataform. The confirmation for the PS4 isn't going to be anytime soon, and I assume we will have a transition phase where ps3 and ps4 could both be used to play DUST. Of course, this will be a technological nightmare for our devs, but they will work this out...
Eventually, the ps3 will be phased out and the ps4 will be used to play DUST ...
Or we can go even futher and imagine a release for the XONE and PC ! |

Dust 514 is going to have a 10 year life span just like Eve.
The Ps4 will have to be included in that life span.
Dust will most likely not require Ps Plus to play. |

It would be even sweeter if Dust allowed for cross platform play(probably would never happen with Xbox but maybe PC)

That makes good sense. But EVE i still on their lifespan because of dust514. Maybe thei will think of something that is xbox exclusive like EVE for PC and Dust514 for PS3. Although it's true that it would have to come out for the ps4 for that lifespan to go longer on. Let's just hope the lifespan for Dust will be more than 10 years. Will be hard but it doesn't hurt to hope. |
