Hey guys,
Could someone tell me what the stacking penalties are for the equipment?
Are the stacking penalties the same for each type and level of equipment?
Thanks in advance,

There are no stacking penalties for equipment. Are you talking about modules?
Example: Damage Modifiers, Shield Rechargers? |

Yes, I meant modules.
Sorry.
Things I'm finding on line are inconsistent at best.

stacking penalties applies to the same module type
example
ill use damage mods
complex +10% advanced +5% basic +3%
say ur suit has 3 high slots
mod 1 complex damage mod 100% effective full 10% damage applied mod 2 complex damage mod 80% effective 8% damage applied mod 3 complex damage mod 50% effective 5% damage applied
anymore than 3 mods of the same is not worth fitting imo due the stacking penalties
these figures are not exact just using them for the example to show u that stacking more than one of the same mod reduces its effectiveness
if u use a mix of complex adv and basic mods the stacking penalties still apply
mod 1 complex mod 100% so the full 10% damage is applied mod 2 enhanced mod 80% so only 4% damage applied form this mod 3 basic mod 50% so only 1.5% of the 3% is applied |

87% when equipping 2nd module 57% the 3rd 28% the 4th
In general don't equip more than 3. Sometimes the third isn't worth the CPU/PG.

Thanks a bunch everyone.
What I get from this are effective bonuses of 100%, 87%, 57% for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd modules.
For a 10% module this gives me 10% for the first module. 8.7% for the second and 5.7% for the third.
For a total of 10.0%+8.7%+5.7%= 24.4%
It seems to be different than the link in the above post. The link gives different percent bonuses, so I'm not sure which is right.

Munch Everything is multiplied, not just added together.
For example with three 10% damage modules it's actually base damage * 10% * 8.7% * 5.7% = 26.4% bonus in total instead of just base damage + 10% + 8.7% + 5.7% = 24.4% bonus. |

Still not getting it.
0.100*0.087*0.057=0.0004959
Assume base damage is 100. Then 100*0.0004959=0.04959.
How does that make 26.4%?
I'm pretty sure my math brain thingy is working. It has to be additive in some way. Multiplying by smaller and smaller numbers makes the total very, very small.
Sorry for being dense,

While on the subject. Anyone know how the ADS +1 resistance works. Just went from level 2-3 and my incubus resistance didn't change. |

Even without being the same modules there is an overall stacking penalty for all resistance modules to make sure there's no way to get 100% resistance.
You'll need at least five% to make even a small dent in your resistance rating if you have a lot of modules on there.
Example: Skill passive resistance. Resistance modules. Damage Control Unit, Hardeners. |

1 module shouldn't invalidate 400k SP but hey this is CCP. Did it for the +2 damage anyway but still. |

Usually when stacking I'll use an Enhanced module in that 3rd slot. Saves CPU, PG, & ISK and the effect is about the same. |
