Yes they still work, but proximity mines are useless as of now against the main things you want to use them against; LLAVs and tanks. You'd have better luck just using Remote Explosives right now; at least they don't give away their location, and they do double the damage of proximity mines. |

As an added note about RE's: if you get killed after thowing them, you can still activate them by spawning back in the same suit. |

PE's are not visible to the othe team on the minimap - you have to see them to know they are there. |

I know they stay. The problem is do they still explode. I have seen the ones I laid out and they remain until the end of the match. I don't know I there were any vehicles that came close enough to set them off however. |

Yes the proxies persist after death and yes they do detonate (barring the usual detonation problems ofc....)
That was changed, thank Amarr, last december before what mines were absolutely unusable |

They are crap because AV nades do a much better job so no one uses them
More powerful, never miss, more damage than a large turret which needs a vehicle to use

Prox mines are great for LAV's you need to combine them with nades for LLAV's also have to do it in a area that they will have to slow down. |

One time this guy laid PMs in front of mine and he got the kill lol. They are a great area denial, so what if tanks hear it, as long as they don't cross. Right now there is a slight but crucial delay both when you switch to explosives and when PMs are deployed. Sucks how sometimes they don't detonate when car goes over them. BS. They should increase the damage of PMs don'tyou think? 850? or 800. |

Though I did skill into advanced RE's last night. LLAV was doing laps so figured time to give em a whirl. Timed it perfectly and three went off right under him. Not enough to kill him, but I hit him right before he went flying over an incline and he died on impact when he landed. |
