The same way you tryhard nerf fiends get what you want is the same way we will all get our respecs. Don't spec into things you know are broken/FoTM. That's a pretty basic concept for anyone with sense.
If that's too hard for you I'd suggest Call of Duty: Repetitive Warfare. Instant Gratification Edition. |

I specced into arnarr logi and scram rifle. I HATE BOTH OF THEM! So yea how is that op or broken? IDIOT! That makes you look even more stupid if you spec'd all the way into it without trial.
You spec'd into it. Too bad, I don't even see the problem with the amarr logi, in fact it's been greatly improved.
Did you spec all the way into something without even trying out the basic levels before wasting a ton of SP on the higher levels?
This game encourages for people to think about your actions. Everything has a consequence so don't make hasty decisions and be wasteful when there is something like SP at stake. |

The problem with most people is that they are selfish and only think about themselves in their limited understanding of this game.
There was a time where Assault Rifles were OP, but now is not the time. The Gallente Assault Rifles are meant to be high damage short range. I imagine people will only cry more when Minmatar Combat Rifles come out or Caldari Rail Rifles.
The problem with the Mass Driver isn't because "It's different" It's because It's a support, AoD weapon that can outperform a shotgun in CQC with little to no thought besides "shoot within 7 meters from enemy and I'll hit him"
There was a time when Mass Drivers were somewhat OP, then Good, Then OP again. All I know what has changed since then is the Radius making the weapon way too insta-win for CQC.
If a person can wield a mass driver and be proficient outside of 30 meters then he actually knows how to use a Mass Driver, sadly Mass Drivers are used within that range as crutches for people that can't use a weapon.
Also I'd like to say that the Scrambler rifle is damn good. It has a bit more flash than I'd like but the high damage against shields makes me feel like a god Against Shield Suits of course that bonus to Shields means that it won't be as effective against armor and I think this is where people complain about the Scrambler rifle.
P.S. I have a Gallente Assault Suit. So in no way do I have something that is awesome on the field, in fact it's probably the worst assault suit currently. |

Yes, this game is supposed to be a persistent shooter in which your actions have consequences. That's what this game was about when it started and it's still about that.
I've noticed since E3 build the player base has gradually grown more whiny and wants everything given to them.
I think the mass of latter people got into this game expecting some casual, simple minded, generic FPS in which everything is handed to them.
This is what New Eden is about, regardless of changes (which I can understand if it's a catastrophic change when something wasn't OP) what choices you make you stick with. Don't make hasty decisions, without thinking, know that different suits and defenses have different playstyles that you can't play the exact same way. I can't tell you how many shield tankers try to operate their Gunlogis like a Madrugar and throw a pissy fit when they get blown up.
This game requires some cognitive faculties, which I know scares, and repels a lot of the FPS player base. |

Builds are very very basic, and don't require too much thought. The only thing required is the patience to sit through however many matches it takes you to grind out enough SP for that next point. (been playing since May '12) Just because you call a goose a swan does not make it so. It requires thought in that you have to think about about opportunity cost when investing your SP. That's about it. People spend SP with out caution have no right to complain. Even if you don't use AUR for a neo suit it still doesn't take much SP to get a Basic type 1 suit.
And around 200,000 SP to get a specialized. |
