AV grenades are being complained about as "free kills" and "extra DPS" against vehicles...j
So why not replace them with an alternative means of harm? Instead of direct damage to the vehicle, a Polymer Coagulant could slow down a vehicle and force it to become more vulnerable to attack.
There would have to be less slowing on a tank, but the idea is that for an LAV it would slow the vehicle by about 70% for a few moments allowing people to actually aim at the driver. If such a thing were implemented, that back-seat gunner wouldn't just be a third wheel, but a defensive resource for the driver and vehicle. The grenades therefore would still be able to get rid of a threat, but it would take a bit of skill for your follow-up.
If the Polymer also could deal slight acidic damage to those riding in open-air seating it would aid in being more of an anti-driver weapon system. |

You say you use vehicules but you beg to get r***d unless you a coward tanker mad that he cant kill LAV's with his blaster and the LAV is circleing you making you look like a fool in a tank. LLAV's are not meant to outperform tanks in terms of Damage... they're Logicstics vehicles. Oh I get it.. since you realize this would make those cheap LLAV's just as vulnerable as a Tank, the leveled playing field is too much eh? |

Glue packed around an explosive is a bit more reliable than an electromagnetic, kinetic energy webbing system designed for starships in 0-G. Glue's also cheaper too. The reason inertia dampeners had to be developed for ships was because they generate their thrust with internal propulsion. Ground vehicles have to use the ground itself.
It's like trying to run water through a 5-day, hi-potency, electronic purifier system just to drink it, when 15 minutes of boiling over an open flame will do the same thing.

Would it be more effective to equip a hardener or a turbocharger to power out of the glue? New options for what equates to survival possibly.
