My old corpmate had this problem too. I would say that you give your PS3 a good vacuuming. If that is already done, maybe its time for a new PS3. But it sounds like your PS3 is overheating and another cleaning out of the Dust (no pun intended) should help it run smoother and quieter. |

yeah but heres the thing its only dust i left my ps3 on for a few hours on BF3 N COD and no freeze and i got a new ps3 this year the super slim one im not really sure whats wrong..but i guess if i have to feather dust it etc.i will -_-

I have had dust freeze on me a couple of times. Very rare for me though. I would pay attention to how loud the fan is. If its running on hi for prolonged periods it might be time to change out the thermal paste. If your ps3 is only a year or so old though its not likely that that is the issue. |

Yep! This guy said it. I think its a minimum of 5 (?) chat channels you can have before the game can get wonky on you. |

Yah, i have this problem. Th game freeze ans then my ps3 freeze and the only way to turn off is removing the power cable. |

It does happen to me but rarely. The game doesn't freeze all the time to the point where its unplayable. |

i had to uninstall and re install three times till i got a clean copy, no problems for three weeks now. de frag will not fix the issue. absolutely keep your chat channels to a minimum also. |

Not as much as it used to. Would normally do it upon exiting the game. During extended playtime I'll point a fan at my PS3 just for good measure. |

The longer I keep Dust running the more frame rate issues I get which eventually lead to less than 1 fps, needless to say I have to restart the game from time to time. |

Happened to me twice in my 5/6 months of playing Dust. Funnily enough my mailbox is REALLY god damn full and I have like ten chats open. Yet my CEO constantly trims his inbox and chats and used to always freeze, d/c. Out of our six directors, I have had the least problems with connectivity. |

I had 0 problems with my PS3 and games freezing on my day 1 PS3..... UNTIL Uprising was released. Instantly, like clockwork, 1 hour and my PS3 would just shut off and restart. No other game did this, I tested. After many tests I was forced to sell my 60GB fatboy PS3 for a new slim and have had no problems since. CCP never helped me with this problem so if you have a fatboy PS3 and are playing Dust I'd like to know. Just my experience... |
