Tired of sniping and not getting any kills? Bored? Want to try something pretty NEW? Well,I have a suit for you!!!
You will need a standard assault suit(caldari c-I),a tactical sniper rifle, an active scanner, and a squad to rush with. You might choose to use shield enhancers but I usually go with two precision enhancers for the high power mods. Then I use the profile dampener in the low powered slot. I would recommend a good smg(I use the m512).you should end up with a tactical sniper with a scanner to find and kill enemies. you should generally stay behind your squad and snipe at the reds who are weak, you will get all the kills for yourself.Use a locus or flux grenade if the need comes to blow your foes up.
If you have the assault c-I series, then use the c-15 tactical sniper rifle.I hope this helped you and if you need more help please contact me.Warning:this suit is hard to master but pays off after a while, you will usually go 13-0 In a single ambush match
eternally yours,

Cool post, this kind of idea for niche roles is great.
For this sort of "combat sniper" role, I'd suggest using a standard, non-tactical sniper rifle - it has more rounds, does more damage per shot, and is easier to use at the relatively close (for sniper) ranges at which you will be engaging targets if you are moving with a squad and are anywhere near the front line due to the slightly shorter range on the zoom. Counter-sniping from the front line also works out without the increased zoom of the tac because crouched snipers are relatively easy targets unless they are at the extreme of tactical range.
Also, if you are anywhere near the front lines, a profile dampener won't do you any good because so you might as well throw an armor repair tool and/or an armor plate or cardiac regulator. You also won't need precision enhancers (1.4 patch may change this...) since you will be picking up your targets visually on the front lines more often than not and the modules aren't going to do much to help you find enemy snipers in the hills (visually scan or use your active scanner). So throw on shield extenders which will help you survive the gunfights where your friendly squad gets overrun and you have to defend yourself in CQC. |

Dont run active scanner as a sniper, while scanning an enemy AND after you are completed tracked on their radar its best to just run dmg mod highs and plates/reppers lows use your equipment slot for nanos |

Well, I realized that a profile dampener will help you get behind the enemy lines(or even on top of them)and kill them from there.it will take a while before someone realizes you and hunts you down.
I personally get 12 kills while sniping from behind and it seems to work fine with me. Maybe you will change the profile dampener with armor reps, it's fine by me. But I am quite effective at tactical range.
I think the active scanner will help you and your teammates as it allows to show the ennemy trying to sneak up on them and give the team a warning.I only gave the base of the suit, the rest is up to you to decide. |
