What if i we had nanohive type deployable inventory that could leach/ drain stamina from the enemy team. Right now there is not a huge incentive to clear an uplink before a mob, or destroy their ammo supply before shooting a red dot. But what if....
You could deploy a "Leach Hive" which once launched would slowly (and progressively faster based off the level of leach hive used) leach a percentage of each dropsuits stamina. Imagine a mob of red dots wreaking carnage during a match: Only to be halted to a crawl while in a choke point because of a cleverly placed and sorely unnoticed Leach Hive. Sure they are still strong in numbers, but escape and deft movements have escaped them. Melee attacks are not possible because they are weak from exhaustion.
We could have the opposite of leach hives to offset this if need be. These hives would slowly add a bonus to the stamina rate as well.
Running out of gas will suck, but it is one more clever device that the clones of new eden will learn to be wary of. adapt or die.
this dynamic if used properly will make fortifying a position easier, or MUCH MUCH HARDER.
affected...(opponent) Heavies would feel the pain as they are forced to crawl from point to point medium frames would shrug this off mostly scouts would be extremely vulnerable but if they notice in time would clear the area
unaffected (deploying team)... heavies would feel as if they moved faster since everyone else is slower medium frames would have a slight advantage scouts would get a buff obviously (but there are those that feel they are under powered at the moment)

Reducing stamina wouldn't do anything...besides preventing them from sprinting.
If it did something like reduce movement speed then it would be really nice. There's already been talk of "stasis webifiers" that slow down vehicles, but this could affect both vehicles and infantry.
Standard: Reduces movement speed by 50%, 9m radius, 1 deployed at a time, carry 2 Advanced: Reduces movement speed by 70%, 12m radius, 2 deployed at a time, carry 3 Prototype: Reduces movement speed by 90%, 15m radius, 3 deployed at a time, carry 5
In order for them to be effective, they need to be as invisible as remote explosives.
There could also be variants that have a smaller radius but do damage over time, variants that have a larger radius but smaller effect, etc. |

I mean, I DO LIKE the idea , im not trolling. But it would give YET another way for logis to kill you and i dont know if im happy with this....unless scouts get 2 equipment slots....
Well nevertheless , i think first they should implement WP for destroying enemy Equipment. Last night i destroyed about 20 drop uplinks and the only thing i received was about 5 deaths....

The remote explosive would most likely destroy the equipment...so it wouldn't be a good idea to use that combo...
That and it would waste two equipment slots. |
