I want to say I remember hearing CCP Jian talk about how detailed CCP wanted to get about the TACnet/Ewar system in Dust to include:
1) A kind of fog/illumination aspect, where you can either see in your minimap, or on the overview, what is certainly being scanned, and what is not. This would give nuanced awareness to where the enemy more certainly is not vs. where they could be.
2) Better HUD tactical intel. Possibly could include enemy tags signifying crucial information at a glance, like weapon or suit type, squad membership, w/o having to look directly at suits.
3) The ability to deny enemies scanning or the above abilities through 'anti-tacnet' measures.
I'm wondering if any of this has been taken beyond the design idea phase...? |

I think that would also slow down the game a little which would be a welcomed change IMO.
Everything can get so frantic on the battlefield and squads slowing down to check their TAC nets and scan would be cool. Then you can set up a real ambush.
Also, more night levels would be awesome. |

+1 for fog of war, light drizzle of war, and raging hurricane of war. All these sunny days make me want to find some cool shade, listen to the birdies and take a nap. |

I'd love an actual fog effect... Like a really thick, can't see 10 feet in front of you kinda fog. |
