GTFO 2 days? Please don't flatter me with cute assumption. So you'll burn through it in 1 day? Or 3 days?
No difference, sorry if my use of the '2' confused you. Maybe I should have used 'a few days' instead. |

In a game like Dust with an MMO-style development plan, you have to. There is no end-content. There will constantly be more. Accept this. This is a good thing. Yes but this is CORE content not expansion content. These tanks, dropsuits and weapons are all related to one another in terms of core balancing. I could understand this if it were factionalised content such as Sansha's nation laser rifles, tanks, and such, or Gurista's figthers or some such. However these are the four primary dropsuits , vehicles, and weapons of the four primary races of dust and all of these things were not provided to the community upon release to test within the sandbox environment. Adamance you wonGÇÖt get much support from this forum for this. This forum is full of trolls or fan boys who like ANYTHING that CCP do. The people who would support you and me on the more-content-train are not here. They stop playing a very long time ago. A lot never logged in seeing the Meta critic and a very big part of the community never visits the forums. So try to imagine now what kind of "feedback" CCP is getting from these forums. The amount of quality feedback is very small and comes from fan boys and some hardliner. I know personally 7 people who stopped playing Dust and turn to other shooters not because of ISK or complexity, they went because its ******* boring. Compelling way to make your case there. Calling everyone that doesn't whines like a little baby girl a 'fanboy'

Maybe I should have used 'a few days' instead. I'd have said the same if you had said a month... I won't get bored of new content that quickly, and even then, a new proper game mode with sophisticated battles and dedicated factional warfare with proper rewards would keep me occupied for a very long time. Right now there is nothing to aim for... AFAIK, CCP has a relatively small team (small in the sense of when you compare to big names like EA etc.) working on Dust. Think 2-6 people per team, with each team working on different aspects. Each aspect covers a huge area. Just as an example, for someone working on new dropsuits, they would have to: 1. Design stats - including slots and fittings, as well as other stats as we know it 2. Balance dropsuits against weapons 3. Balance dropsuits against current available dropsuits 4. Find a role for suits, find a few different roles and fittings for them, because no one wants cookie cutter fits
Then that goes to the art department etc.
I'm not finding excuses for the slow pace, but before you begin with new stuff, the old stuff has to be at the very least semi-balanced.
TBH, I'm happy with the current dropsuits and weapons we have, and rather CCP took their time sorting out the kinks of the existing stuff rather than bring in stuff that turns out to be massively OP or UP, which just means more time put into re-balancing them again later.
My 2 cents. |
