12) We like to drive OP vehicles with low skillpoint investment, then b!tch when we lose them to people dedicated to AV trolling, also falsifying a fact. if over 10 million SP is low investment then yeah they aren't that much. then that must mean you don't put **** into your investments, also, we aren't OP. its the pilots who are dedicated since we put everything into vehicles, you don't put everything into AV, your full of ****. it takes over 9 million SP to get a soli foundation in tanks, it only takes you under 4 million to use AV. and you call vehicles low investment? your really full of ****.
10 mil, you're so cute.
Weapon Upgrades V Grenade V Remote Explosives IV Proximity Explosives IV Swarm Launcher V, Proficiency IV, Ammo Capacity III Forge Gun V, Proficiency IV, Fitting Optimization III, Rapid Reload III, Ammo Capacity III
Max Fitting Skills, Max Armor, Shield Extender IV(Working on V) Amarr Heavy V Amarr Medium IV(Working on V)
All of this so I can field every AV system at near-maximum potential. I'm at 15.5 Mil SP, and still have a ways to go(Medium to V, Proficiency V on my AV systems, etc). I've got a smattering in HMG, SMG, and SR, but only because sometimes the tankers get smart and stop calling them in, and I like to be useful. What I like to call "A fair match".
What were you saying about not putting everything in to AV? My character is almost entirely built around AV - that's pretty much all I do on the field, save for the occasional HMG or SR action. |

uh oh......he just did it......now someone has to get all the vehicle skills and this guy ^^^^ might not like how THAT turns out lol
hint: vehicles have and will cost more sp. multipliers are simply higher and well, i dont need to go any deeper than that.
It's all relative ;) Seeing how much SP someone can dump into tanks is easy, it's in all of 2 trees. Seeing how much someone has to dump into AV to be truly effective takes a little more effort. |

So you skilled into all AV then
Well ive skilled into nearly all vehicles and to get them all to 5 will cost at least 20mil SP if not more, i have 17mil into it so far, 6mil SP spare for the pilot dropsuit which will take 2.5mil to get to proto and thats for all races so 10mil more added in
We have basic vehicles,we dont even have proto or any variations which are better than the basic tank yet you have all proto in weapons and suits
You can skill up proto swarms for 2mil, forget the rest you dont need it if you dont render on top of a hill and its still 10-20x cheaper than a vehicle
We dont even have all the other vehicles or the other races vehicles or the other turrets
Overall we sink more SP into vehicles to get a basic vehicle
You can play the SP game but you will lose everytime, its a fact to be a true vehicle specalist compared to a AV specalist we spend more SP overall
Cry me a river, you're getting proto modules in 1.5?
Tanks are swiss army knives, with over 10x the hitpoints of a dropsuit for relatively equal SP investments. Tanks do everything, while infantry has to specialize. The only thing tank drivers can't do is capture points, and I'm fairly sure i've seen tankers ask for modules that allow them to hack while still inside their vehicles.
The very nature of a tank driver is to ask to be better than someone else, while putting in the same amount of time as them. Tankers are not special, and do not deserve special treatment just because they decided to put their SP in to tanks. Your SP is no different than mine, and should entitle you to no more than me. It's not better, and you tank people need to dispel the illusion in your head that just because you concentrated in one tree, you should be treated differently.
You want to be good at tanks? You invest millions of SP. You want to be good at AV? The same is true. My character is walking proof of that. I have over 15.5 million SP invested strictly in making me the best AVer I can be. This is no different from you investing your SP into tanks, trying to be the best tanker you can be. You need skills in hulls, modules, and weapon systems. So do we, and the modifiers and skill trees are not very different. If anything, infantry has more choices to make than vehicles. Your turret does not care if it's shooting at a Heavy, a Scout, an Installation, or another Vehicle. Our weapons DO care, and it DOES matter what we're shooting at. Therefore, we have to spend our SP to access multiple weapons systems, just to be as effective as a tank turret.
You people need to get off your high horses, because at the end of the day we're both specialists. Myself, in AV. You in Tanks. And other people in anti-infantry. |
