It is time or me to commit to one or the other, the Logi or the Scout and take it all the way to proto. Both currently are in the Advanced Tier of the specialized (racial bonus) suits. The buff to armor in 1.4 will be beneficial to both so that is not enough of a deciding factor. What say you all in your experiences with said suits and styles of play? Should I go Proto Scout or Proto Amarr Logi? P.S. I already have Proto Amarr Assault and Proto AR's and SCR's

Join "Scouts United" for 1.4 and help us experiment with all manner of stealth based squads. Also if you go logi you'll need to invest in equipment, too. If you do go logi, consider creating a stealth logi with dampeners and kin. cats to join our stealth squad experiments as a stealth logi.

One of the advantages of the gallente scout is probably scanning too.

I actually have all the necessary equipment up to the advanced tiers as well. I've also experimented with an EWAR Logi as well.

One of the advantages of the gallente scout is probably scanning too. I have Proto Lasers, Proto Shotguns, Level IV Scrambler Pistols...I prefer the TT-3.

With the scan radius bonus your scan radius goes from 10m to 15m, and your profile dampening bonus helps protect you incase you ever get within 10 meters of someone . . . again, just pointless bonuses. Stick with the basic light frames if you really want to do that playstyle. And perhaps by the time the actual "scout" is fixed there will be Amarr scouts, so maybe you might want to hold off and do Amarr Logistics in the meantime?

Now in games where there are loads of people using mass drivers keep that advanced amarr suit ready to go just in case. At advanced level logi, which from what ive read is what you have, you can pack a punch in pubs even still. Scouts man...scouts and uplinks, or remote explosives, or even scanners.

I have all the shield skills at 3 and I have Armor Plates and Reps at IV...I'm leaning towards proto Amarr Logibro unless someone truly sways me in the other direction or the Amarr Scout is dropped in the game on the third.

Jumping over things everyone else needs to walk around, including other mercs, is badass to the nth. All scouts are super cool. ( <--- Fact) The adrenaline rush can't be beat and the challenge is refreshing. You no longer have to worry about "EHP" (because you don't have any), "DPS" because if you don't one shot kill it doesn't matter, or "KDR" - because it never gets high enough to matter. Every kill is the sweetest victory imaginable.... But seriously, it's just a ton of fun. I have a dedicated scout that I play for 40+ games a week, and a logi alt at 6M SP that is just too slow, yellow and boring. I never play more than 3-4 games with him.... And he's slow. As hell. The EQ is nice I guess..... and he could be fast, but he still can't jump.... Plus, even creating scout fits is a challenge - maximize that SP to get the most out of the miserly CPU and PG. Be a warrior - go scout. Fight Naked.

Try getting those complex shield extenders before going anything proto. Complex ferroscales with a complex armor repairer should look nice on the Amarr logibro. Going proto suit without proto modules will only make you lose money. -XOXO

Logi is practical and useful. Which personality is you? FYI however, I have yet to spec above standard in scout suit. I usually use proto light or my Dragonfly aurum suit. The bonuses weren't really going to do much ATM for scout. Also, if you go light suit you will be ready to spec into the pilot suit. Do you want to do vehicles in the future?

I shall never touch a vehicle until maybe the jets or the MTACS are released, and even then it is still iffy.
