Let the AVers destroy the Supply Depots so they can get bitched at on the forums for "being selfish AVers" just like the tanks :)
Why made a strategical element to the game harder to achieve? CCP just needs to hurry up with adding the droppable installations into the game, so rather than suffer with a single supply depot, you can call in many at a cost of ISK.

What? You don't want allies to destroy your ****? Then instead of calling random supply depots in, call one in and look after it. I swear to god people are ******* morons that want their hands held. If you can't defend your supply depot, you lose it, if you can't get it back, then we kill it because you are useless and we're dying.
