CCP,
Currently the FEC is at war with EoN. LotGÇÖs of participation from the community has gone into this event and the return of many players that have given up on the game. Initially, the FEC on August 19, 2013 we conducted over 100 attacks on districts owned by EoN and continued to do so throughout the week. Many close matches using the 100 clone packs and even closer matches using the 120 clone packs. The opposition (EoN) has used many tactics to defend against the attacks from recruiting more players, hiring mercGÇÖs to fight for them, changing timers to times that the opposition is not active, leaving matches early to attack district under attack to prevent re-attack before those in the battle even get out of the match, and the main reason why I am addressing you is the locking of districts. Locking of districts is a method currently being used where as a corporation creates or hires a corporation to attack their districts and no show to prevent others from attacking the districts and locking them out from gameplay. Allowing for members to fight only the fights they want to fight and help others while protecting their assets from attack. So you would say okay let them waste their isk protecting their districts. That would be a blind response and IGÇÖll explain using a real current example so that you can see how this is being used to not only protect the districts but also make a profit. Teamplayers currently a corporation of 106 players that controls 66 districts (27% of Molden Heath) is using a dummy corporation controlled by one of their members GÇ£Like a Boss.GÇ¥ to place attacks on Teamplayer districts using isk generated by Teamplayer districts keeping them locked out of gameplay and while making a profit. How is the profit being made? Here is the breakdown:
Example 1: District with Production facility fully stocked and generating clones at a rate of 100 per day (300+100) produces 15 million isk from biomass sales per day. Corporation A (Teamplayers) deposits 36 million into Corporation B (Like a Boss.) wallet. Corporation B purchases a clone pack and initiates an attack on Corporation A district. Corporation B no shows the attack and 50% of the clones are sent to the defending district. Corporation A district fully stocked converts the clones to biomass for a profit of 9 million isk. Corporation A sends mercGÇÖs into battle to afk and receive isk for winning the match for a total of 18 million isk. Additionally, Corporation A district is locked for a period of 2 days allowing for 2 reinforcements for an isk profit of 30 million from clone sales.
Here is the math: -36,000,000 (Clone Pack) + 9,000,000 (%50 of attacking clones) + 18,000,000 (Winning isk reward) + 30,000,000 (District biomass production) = 21,000,000 isk profit.
Example 2: District with Research Laboratory or Cargo Hub fully stocked and generating clones at a rate of 80 per day (300+80/450+80) produces 12 million isk from biomass sales per day.
Here is the math: -36,000,000 (Clone Pack) + 9,000,000 (%50 of attacking clones) + 18,000,000 (Winning isk reward) + 24,000,000 (District biomass production) = 15,000,000 isk profit.
As a leader within and spokesman for the FEC, a coalition of more than 40 corporations. I represent a large portion of the community. Having spoken with all the leaders of the FEC we see this as an exploit in Planetary Conquest and is pushing the current war to a stalemate as over 27% of Molden Heath is locked out of gameplay for the pure and sole purpose of greed. The economic imbalance and loss of gameplay is hurting this game. What is CCPGÇÖs view on this? We would like to know as soon as possible. Does CCP see this as an exploit or does CCP feel this is working as intended. With the release and upcoming release of new games and consoles changes will be needed soon in order to prevent more players form abandoning the game altogether.
Lastly, request the current clone packs be increased to 150 clones at 45 million and reducing the defending district reinforcement to 1.
Thanks for your time,
NPRZ

CCP Logibro wrote:While I can't say anything concrete yet, Team True Grit are doing things regarding this issue. Wonderful things. But before you ask, no I don't have a timeline on when it will be added. But it is something we're aware of and working towards squishing.
Just to clarify does CCP see this as an exploit of the game? Additionally, if so does CCP see this as a violation of the EULA? |
