PSA for everyone to think outside the box!
Yesterday, I was playing around with some of my fittings, and I decided to make a Heavy CQC suit, using a shotgun instead of the "normal" heavy weapon in its heavy weapon slot.
Holy cow! It's so much fun. It's a big tanky brick with lots of point-blank damage. I realized that building fits that were unconventional can be a lot of fun. They totally shatter your opponent's expectations!! |

I inadvertently discovered a great out of the box fun tactic today.
I was in my light suit with only a scram pistol that I use for driving my tank. It was on the south side of manus peak on ambush and so was difficult to call my tank in without the requisite murder taxies zooming around and around.
I just decided to run out there and bull fight the murder taxies. The more they miss you the more likely they are to get out and try to shoot you.
With teammates running around the immediate building area it was no problem baiting them to stop and get out only to dodge their fire as teammates easily ganged them.
Hack their LAV and crash into the other LAV.

back in Skirmish 1.0 in Replication we used to have Small turrets placed around the map. That was fun, sitting next to a CRU with a S Blaster turret killing anyone that came up the pass. |

I also like this idea. Deployable weapon emplacements like HMGs you can fit on walls/railings etc would be great for defending objectives and setting up cover positions, once we get our deployable installations though - first things first. |

I've seen quite a few shotgun fatties before (all the back to Chromosome). I love it when I run across them outside so you better stay indoors with that fit. |

I started using it on a city ambush match. I would push forward through fire or whatever. My base skills (shield/armor) are good, and it was a Dren suit, so it was free anyway. But watching a Heavy try and HMG me down before my shotty killed him was funny. I don't use it out in the open, obviously. I don't have a death wish!
