What is the point for aiming down the sight of the Mass Driver? The "hip fire" reticle is the exact same as the one you get when you ADS, so I don't get why anyone would waste the action and animation time to ADS when the default reticle is giving them all the information they need to hip fire without a downside. Am I missing something? |

I learned from an Masshole I know that the range markers on the ADS sight are actually useful.
They're pegged at 10m, 20m, 40m, and 60m, I believe.
Now, the more important question: do you know how to eyeball meters in this game? I know I don't. |

That's absolutely as it should be. The question I had is since that aiming reticle that is displayed down the sight is the exact same one that is displayed when not ADS. When I take the weapon out, I have the same amount of information that I would otherwise have aiming down the sight. Unlike other weapons, it doesn't become more accurate by ADS (and you can see this effect if you look at the crosshair for other weapons: if you crouch, it gets more accurate, and it's most accurate ADS). Not so with the Mass Driver.

Isn't the shot range improved when shoulder firing? You should have less sway and better support so the more clean shot. Just guessing, ok? |

I think this might be close. I think you can possibly 'effectively' increase RoF, because often your RoF limitation is due to you having to wait for the weapon to settle, rather than actually being able to fire again. |
