As i chat with my corp and the EON. alliance I have been coming up with ways to make PC better and more enjoyable. The biggest issue with PC right now is the times. If you own 5 districts you have to be on for 5 hours. This leads to burnout and becomes boring real quick. My suggestion cuts on the timers and makes battles more a lot more fun. However, this will require CCP increasing our players on the field and pretty much making a map that is pretty big. Basically making it similar to EVE.
We keep the district idea but instead of having your own districts separate, we combine them on every planet. every district you own becomes one giant district on one timer. An example would be a planet with 3 districts owned by corp A,B, and C. Corp A captures corp C's district so now it looks like there is only 2 districts on the planet. When someone attacks corp A's district they are attacking one huge district with lots of clones or two separate clone counters. After a certain number of clones are lost due to the MCC blowing up or just getting stomped the district becomes 2 separate districts again.
It would be up to CCP to decide how it would look ingame. I would suggest you play one complex but be able to see the other off in the distance until we can have maps that can support two or more battles going on at once.
Imagine how fun and difficult it would be to take on a planet like sver prime. because right now all you have to do is stack timers on the enemy and hope they burn out.
This is a continuation of my thread my kind of battles
What would yall think of this? would it be better or more boring? also, may i get a dev's opinion on this to see if it is even feasible? |

I wouldn't mind a pc battle mode where 4 corps can fight in it at once.
each corp can bring a single 6 man squad. This will be an ambush oms type map called "Planetary Raiding" You raid the district for clones/isk/ gear.
Each 6 man squad has 20 clones each. (4 squads x 20 is 80 which is equal to an oms)
Goal of this mode: Be the last squad standing with the most clones. Add a 15 minute timer and the one with the most clones wins. If there is a tie then break the tie with war points. If warpoints are still tied then split the spoils of the raid.
Work with your squad and coordinate your raiding squad.
Raiding a district should only be possible every few days or even weekly for 4 corps to be able to organize and attack. Corps can set the day of the week and times.
If defending the raid is successful then the district can get some sort of bonus. Such as faster clone production. This should be a low risk/high reward game mode but at the same time it will be harder to win since you are competing with 3 other corps for the grand prize.
If you are attacking and you win then you get high rewards from the raid. Lots of isk and gear. 1st place squad gets 60% of goods 2nd gets 30% of goods 3rd gets 10% of goods (enough to maybe break even? or a little under breaking even) 4th gets nothing.
Raiding does not help other corps take the district. |

I really just want the lag and hit detection to be fixed in PC. It's still nigh unplayable in certain areas of the map (particularly in the Orbital Cannon and Biomass outposts).
PC would be so much more enjoyable if people didn't have to resort to grenades/explosives for kills because hitscan weapons suck so much during the lagfest. |

What ridiculous hubris to suggest this. This just shows how detached you all are on a few levels.
First, your statement is still wrong. You don't HAVE to be on for 5 hours. You can just have enough good players to fight all in one hour, but regardless, if you lose, you could be susceptible to a counter-attack immediately following. So if you had 5 districts, and 1 district available each hour, then you could potentially need to be on for 6 hours.
Also what would be the downsides of combining districts? I don't really see one....
One HUGE and BROKEN upside is that you don't have to lock anything to move clones because all clones are generated for a single district. BUT the biggest and most RIDICULOUS advantage is that you would basically have 1 district producing clones at rate that is multiples of however many districts there are...Do you not see the problem there?
You are basically asking CCP to let you be lazy and lock districts for you (like you already are doing) so you don't have to suffer the inefficiency of doing so.
So lets say you have a 10x SUPERdistrict producing 900 clones each day. So as long as there are only fights with clone packs, or maximum deployments from one district, there is no way that one day's defensive losses would ever be enough unless you just idiotically committed suicide or there was some greater risk to joining your districts.
If you could lock 10 districts into one and only have to suffer the loss of one district's loss at a time that would be OP times more than just 10 times. You would have to make it so a loss to that super districts would be at least AS devastating as a loss to all 10 districts at once.
So IOW, your minimum clone loss should have to be (no. of districts in superdistrict)x(150). |

As I said. CCP would have to open our player counts to large numbers and large maps for this to be viable. A corp could choose the keep the districts on a separate timer or all on one timer. The only difference is if they choose a single timer they would have a huge battle fighting over different clone generators. because this 16v16 does get boring after awhile.
I agree my idea is not the best but I still believe it would be more fun than what we have now. |

OP's suggestion would make battles more about PLANETS instead of some arbitrary 'district' system. Successful attacks and defenses would be more epic because it would mean something to take an entire planet... but it might take a couple weeks to do it. I mean... I like the persistence of it and it's more 'realistic' (cringe...) thinking in terms of what you would see in the New Eden universe. The current model we have for PC is pretty... contrived. |

you get it. It is my preference of huge long battles.that way a loss is really felt.
