I'm seeing it more and more often. Literally the kill feed is RED for 30 sometimes 40 kills.
How many of those people getting stomped on will play another round of DUST after that? 0.
How many will be inclined to log on the next day? Less than half.
How many of those people will have a negative impression of DUST and then in turn, give a negative impression
to their friends? All of them.
Also there's an increase in huge maps with little activity. Sometimes either team don't move, they just stay where they are because guess what happens every time one of them makes a move? An LAV or a Sniper gets them.
I've played rounds before where the enemy had snipers at every single letter so you got OHK'd every time you tried to take it. So take the sniper out you say? What, waste 2-3 minutes running on the ******* cliffs trying to find some ******* who's hiding? Yeh that sounds like fun.
The maps are far too big for that they are, they do not promote squad-based tactics at all. It's like Planetside 2. I ran around in that game trying to find out where the action is for 5 minutes before I uninstalled it.
Also I tried to exit a game and square didn't work. The cinematic showing the map from an aerial POV just glitched at about 1FPS. That's when I quit the game.
Introduce some basic matchmaking. It's no fun trying to level up an alternate account when you can't even stomach 3 games because they're all the same. People getting stomped on and crappy players using crutches such as high HP to win the game.
Whatever happened to everyone has the same amount of health? Imagine in a multilpayer game, you all have 100hp down the bottom but then your friend sitting next to you on the couch has 600hp.
Seeing a lot of crappy MAG clans who can just stomp on n00bs all day because they've played it more, do more damage and take more damage.
This would be fun as a handicap in an old-school couch-multiplayer game with advanced settings but it's not, it's actually the fundamental part of the game. And what do these people do when you shoot back? They run away.
This is just your take on the game. Actually, you should be judging the game on the sandbox universe, the levels of customization, and everything else that sets this game apart from CoD or Battlefield (although I will admit that BF3 is a cool game).
The players literally create the world around them. Maybe EVE players have more control over it, but DUST side you can, like I said before,
create the world around you. Yes, a lot of the game is centered around matches, but there is no reason that a player that is not good at this game should not be able to get better at it.
When I first started this game, I did not understand it and could not get a single kill. Now, I've had matches where I go 32-7. Everyone can get better.
Now, back to the point, the sandbox and customization alone should be what puts this game on a deeper and more complicated level. Again, matches are a big part of this game, but there is a lot more to it and it should not be judged on gameplay alone.
