If there are different skills introduced, then they'll have no choice but to refund previous vehicle skills. Changing various bonuses and/or the functionality of certain items however, is simply another rebalance. No different than those done for suits and weapons. And pleas for a respec will be just as successful as those were.
This incessant whine from people who are afraid that they will no longer be able to rely on their crutch is just entitled crap, and it makes me lose what little faith I have for the future of this game. |

No, they're still going to be tanks, and as a result, those who skilled into tanks because they were tanks have no grounds for a respec. |

We lost the 5% PG per level in the skill, and it got changed to reduction in CPU consumption by 5% per level. Not the same, don't you think? Instead of gaining shield/armor per level, we got 2% resistance per level. We lost turret proficiency for more damage per level.
Like I said earlier in the thread; a refund of a skill that is effectively removed & replaced is fine, but a major overhaul to the workings of tanks doesn't stop them being tanks. If you chose to spend your SP on a tank, it's staying that way. Those people who picked a support dropsuit are stuck with them, despite having picked them because they made effective assaults. That's the kind of weight that decisions in this game are supposed to carry. |
