I grew up on stories, the real ones. Always taking place on humanity's home world, where our ancestors sprouted from and traveled far away from. The stories of a green planet with blue heavens and blue grounds, with the underworld being a sacred place for plants and animals. Where lions and tigers roamed, rabbits hopped, fish swam, and a man named Barack Obama took a stroll. That was when i was a kid though, the place i was told of was a sanctuary meant for prayer in times of troubles. "Earth" the name of such a world was abandoned by our civilization and cast down into the deep places of New Eden because we were abandoned through the Gate we discovered. We built lives here, we fought wars here, we prayed here, we ate here, and slept here, yet. This place still doesn't feel like home. Though i have heard only the stories and lived in this war-torn place, i still think of Earth as my TRUE home. Trying my hardest not to cry at night, knowing that these stories I've heard have claimed many to detest our motherland and thrive on power to destroy the thought and image of it. They destroyed the image with the wars of the 4 great Empires of the Amarr, Gallente, Caldari, and Minmatar. Brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, mothers, and fathers joining the feuds because it's better to be able to protect yourself out on the front lines, then bow down to the regimes and local hierarchies in the little towns and homes on the back lines, where the Empires don't extend that helping hand to us who are scared or struggling.
I always gaze up at the sky wondering whether or not that Gate may open and if Earth people would flood through it to save us from our own kind. But yet again, that was when i was little that i thought of ideas such as that one. We are alone until the day we act as one. I call out to others in different systems asking them, "How was your day?" and "Are you okay?" because we all know it isn't gonna be your neighbor asking those questions when they could rob you for your crops and sell them for profit. In our lives as Humans of Eden, we've learned a couple of things that could save your life. Though we've learned these things only 1 thing we've learned really applies to every soul that you'll encounter or know of.
"Power is handed down through the families of powerful people as the thought of a change is handed down by the feelings of your friends and family. Truly no man may say he is weak but great, and truly no man can say he is great but wishes to abhor his our great fellows"
Since i was a kid...... I've always thought of Earth and how we could go back. Since i was an adult...... I've always thought of my time being spent peacefully Since i am who i am now...... I've always thought of living a real life
I think of this as the beginning, the middle, and the enclosing end. Because sure enough Civilization will change without a doubt nor hesitation. It just all depends on who has the balls to fight it. |
