But the act of flying a dropship in PC is most of the time as if driving through a sky of molasses. Makes dodging shots, maneuvers , timing, get away speed estimations completely untenable.
Got lucky and that RDV spawned a few feet away instead of inside you this time? Tough luck, you're still getting hit. Been hit by a forge and know a good trick to dodge the next? Well, you'll pull it off a couple seconds after the second round bursts you into flames.
Want to aim properly at anything smaller or more mobile than a turret installation ? Good luck.
Why is this though? Has anyone else noticed this? And don't come here saying its my internet connection. Pubs are smooth as ICE. Happened to me while i was flying, It was as if i were flying in a sea of frame skipping Molasses :P

It must, and it makes using a DS in PC a total waste of time and money. Its simply unplayable. I feel as if the PC server(if that makes sense) can only handle so much and dropships seem to be something that it can't handle as well as small infantry and millions of spawn uplinks
doesn't make much sense now that i think about it |

And something about DS which is different than players. updating unit location ? You'd think that would present itself as lag for others rather than the pilot itself. Does it force the client to slow down so it can sync better? If so that's terrible for anything high speed. Scouts, jeeps, dropships, jets. etc. .. oh gosh imagine the lag of an air to air dog fight?
it's nearly unplayable with a single dropship |

Or maybe you don't really notice it's a problem till your life is immediately on the line Dropship PC lag + swarms + forger = More lag = slow molasses escape, like a flying whale |

The person who designed them probably has never heard of a aircraft in his or her lifetime. Really? I Love the dropship controls :P they suit my flying style quite nicely
maybe a bit more speed for the assault variant and mobility would do well, aside from the usual buff |
