I have been facing this glitch lately and it is ruining competitive play. This is probably my first QQ thread on these forums EVER but this glitch needs to be fixed ASAP! Make this a priority CCP! Show us that you wont stand for cheaters for your game. Other game developers do it, you should too. |

Mary Sedillo wrote:Agreed!. Arirana is the biggest exploiter of this. There is even a video on youtube showing her. Arirana has been doing this in every pc battle..
CCP needs to make an example out of someone until they are able to make a fix. |

I thought they fixed it where you cant do it whenever you want. If its still random then its not as bad as the melee glitch where people can do it whenever they feel like it. |

Another Heavy SOB wrote:I can completely agree OP, however I think we all know No punishment will be handed down by CCP. Heck remember when CCP accidentally gave us all money and many people knowingly spent said money and while they were temporarily forced into the red CCP quickly caved and brought them back to 0 ISK... Apparently there are very few consequences in new Eden aside from living with bad SP placement.
Anyways the best we can hope is that this player will be absolutely worthless to their corporation as soon as the bug is fixed and that they have forever marred the name of the corp they fight for.
True but that was different. CCP messed up and it affected EVERYONE in the game. People were warned about them having their money taken back but not alot of people listened. Screwing everyone over is bad for business. CCP is a company after all...
This time they should grow a pair and ban a few individuals. It would be good for business and do wonders for their reputation. Everyone knows they could use some good PR right now.
Competitive play is one thing keeping alot of the vets here and CCP should do all they can to make sure that it stays competitive. No truely competitive player who cares about skill wants a "instant win" button on their game... If CCP acts like they don't care then people are going to start wondering why they themselves should care. |

KalOfTheRathi wrote:Mary Sedillo wrote:Lazy Scumbag wrote:What's your take on murdrr taxis, OP? Couldn't help but notice... Murder taxi's don't tend to work in PCs. Mostly a cheap public tactic for ******* around. Why don't they work in PC? CCP/Shanghai fixed the wrong problem in their Murder Taxi Flub of late. I love how they removed the Free LAV while doing nothing to solve the actual LLAV problem. A shot! A miss! Nothing new here, move on.
Because players with actual skill can take out LLAVS and most corps need people that care more about defending and capturing objectives than improving their kdr. IDC if I go 0-10 in pc, if I do my job right I can still get 1k-3k warpoints by actually helping my team win the game.
last night I was in a squad with 2 other gens in proto av and we took out 4 LLavs in a couple minutes. I called a bpo lav and we would drive right up to it, stop get out, and av the crap out of it. LLavs don't work in pc and they are rarely ever seen or used. If you see them they are mostly used to get around to objectives... If you were any good and played pc you would know this.
THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT LLAVS OR OP WEAPONS. Please try to stay on topic about the melee glitch. okay? Op broken weapons and llavs are another issue entirely. The melee glitch is just outright cheating.
The discussion on this irrelevant stuff is over. Go make your own thread if you want to talk about it.
NOW, Stay on topic okay guys? |

You're CEO to someone who uses it and you've DEFENDED the use by saying it's 'not cheating therefor acceptable' Are you saying you won't let Arirana do this anymore? Lol - last time you said that the next day I fought AE and got melee'd 4 times in less then 3 minutes. It's not cheating - it's game mechanics. Blame CCP for not fixing it asap & assholes that abuse it. Simple as that. Ppl WILL use glitches no matter what. Annnd it looks like I'll have to post this for a third time! Although I'll provide a few more examples for those who didn't get it the first time! Blaming CCP for exploiting a glitch is akin to stealing a car and blaming the owner for leaving the keys in it. The owner was stupid but you're still a thief. Blaming CCP for exploiting a glitch is akin to poisoning your spouse and Blaming the Ortho Ant poison manufacturer for selling you cyanide. The manufacturer was careless but you're still a murderer. Oh and as far as the idea that it's OK because everyone else does it No matter what, why don't you go commit some felonies and see how that argument holds up in court. Comparing real life crimes to video game taboos. If I might say so myself, some seemingly strong arguments but using an unintended ingame mechanic just can't be compared to felonies. The assumption that you're still guilty because you committed the crime despite the excuses comes with an assumption that there were rules against it in the first place, which, just no. Your post kinda reminded me of the time I was a new kid to a city school coming from a school of 200, and getting jumped by 3 guys (in the 10th grade). After I sent 1 to the nurses office for a broken nose, one was a little battered with the wind knocked out of him after I threw him down the stairs, and lastly the biggest one nearly dying of asphyxiation (was carrying a plastic bag of markers, dumped them out and threw it over his head) I got a half-hearted lecture from the guidance counselor that the excuse "it was a 3 on 1 and I kicked their asses, I shouldn't get a suspension you should bring up my name at the next school assembly for my feat" isn't gonna help me any later on in life. He was speaking out of his ass but you know what, I stfu and took the suspension. Thats where the similarities of then and now end.
Thats some cray ****. |
