I've been up against proper build shields that can take 4 shots without being popped. Also you have a sweet spot. Did you show it?
I did an ALT as a tanker just to see what the big fuzz is about. Im a cowardly tanker, but i go 20 games with 20+ and zero deaths easily.
The ONLY thing i'll give tankers is the fact that you REALLY cant tell where the shots are coming from,there by making too difficult the action of taking cover.
Besides that, thank LLAVs for so many FGunners.
Forge guns have NEVER been modified,and suddenly everybody specs into vehicles and as soon as Specialized AVs appear , Grenades swarms and FG are OP. HTFU with that cra*....

No its doesnt i use an ASSAULT FORGE GUN with 2 CX DAMAGE MODS and ive shot tanks 4 times in a row and barely take their shields down.
DONT LIE BRO, you are talking with a guy who plays both AV and as a tanker. (10mill tanker 13mill AV)
Unless you are a sucky tanker or are using MLT tanks, there is no way a FG will destroy you in less than 3 shots. |

Done lie bro... i have 40% passive resistance... 5535 armor and heavy clarity ward shield booster with 26% recharge from skill bonuses. I got 4 shotted. Its true.

If after the 1st shot you activate any kind of regenerator the FG wont be able to kill you. The FG does an approx of 6000 DM with 4 shots so :
-You are laying wrong since you are obviously going suicidal to places where there is no cover, no one gets hit 4 times in a row with good positioning.
-You wait too long to activate your regenerators
-Your tank is a little weak for your lack of skill to be quite honest. Mine has 1000 shield 6500 Armor and i can take 4 ASsault FG in a row,if it was the case.

No im not a ''REAL tanker'' As i despise vehicles. I used one of my Alts that's been accumulating SP for a LONG a** time to see what the fuzz is about.
NOthing. The only thing i feel is :
1st- Tanks are way too expensive. Price reduction needed.
2nd-Need to know where The Forge gunner is shooting from.
Besides that, i dont rampage inside cities so i barely get killed, always on mountains or near cover so i can back out fast enough,you know,cuz even in real lief a tank can be destroyed by a single AV RPG,so yeah.... |

YOU DONT GET THE PAIN.
You dont kno what playing Infantry with NO AV's or MLT avs is when the enemy decides to drop 3 tanks on us and there is NOTHING to do vs those 8000+ EHP Behemoths.They just kill indiscriminately with nothing to stop them.
Even while being an AV, if you are not in a GREAT position the tank will pretty much still obliterate you. Yeah even with1200 EHP.
AND NO, maybe i dont ''feel'' your pain,because when im tanking im always behind cover or at bigger distances to actually feel threatened by AV weaponry. The only way i was REALLY scared of using a second tank was when another tanker with Missiles came ll the way to me and i didnt see him and shoot the crap out of me with 4 missile barrages. |

Dude i totally agree about the second part, if we get proto tanks the FG is good but for now its OP against out normal tanks. it takes SD FG about 8-9 shots to kill me thats about 20 seconds, it takes proto Fg about 4 shots , 8 seconds to kill me. Now here we have a 2x improvement from basic to proto. A proto AR does 37.5 dmg and basic does 34. here we have a very small improvement. The improvement from basic to proto in FG is far to great.
I agree,but the problem is the RPICING on the tanks not the DAMAGE.
4 RAILGUN shots to take down a tank seem good to me TBQH. I mean i use to 1shot kill Tanks with a JAvelin in BF3 and no one complained. Why? Because they had USEFUL MODS:
Smoke screens that deflected missile lockons FOR example, etcetc.... |

Got in a game:
Tanker 1; NINJAROBOT something brings down a tank.
Tanker 2, Frost Byte bring another tank.
Enemy team HAD proto Forge gunners (since i got killed by both a Kaalakiota Forge gun and Ishikune assault froge gun)
Ninjarobot goes 36-0
Frost byte goes 15-0
Im gonna be honest after seeing hese 2 tankers completly dominate that game i feel even stronger about my opinion. Tanks are good , people just rush to death with them.
After that game I HAD to play vs these two tankers and even with my Proto Forge guns i could not kill a single one of them. They hid pretty well and ran behind their friendlies so i could not follow them. We actually got redlined in that game and every time the tank was about -+ EHP he would hide and regen, and there was NOTHING i coult do about it. He got shot 3 times with a Proto Assault FG and then he hid. Im pretty sure i still needed at leas 2-3 shots more to destroy him....
So again, tankers CAN be pretty powerful, with the right caution and right fittings.... |
