I see a fair amount of people leave battles just as they're about to lose or I join a battle 10 seconds before the match ends. Which I find rather pointless.
Personally, I feel there should be a limit on how late you can leave a battle. Say 2 minutes after you join a battle you can leave it, in case you've chosen the wrong game mode. After then, you're in it until someone wins.
If you really care about your KDR or wins/loss ratio, fight harder, get better, or man up and take a loss. |

It doesn't matter if you leave a battle before it ends, it should still affect your KDR and your WLR. Leaving before the end just means you don't get your isk and sp (though we used to even if we got dc'ed  ). |

I don't think it should matter. Frankly, I don't give a damn as long as they don't get any isk from the fight. |

You cant help join a battle moments before it ends that is CCP's fault and low player count. I have had at least 5 of these happen in a row and there was nothing to do but leave. It was once considered to be a courtesy and a gentleman's call if one felt the battle was going to be a lose and that was to walk from the battlefield. Better to live today to fight tomorrows battles. This happened in the civil war and also WW1. There was also a time in WW1 when both sides agreed to a cease fire so both sides could celebrate Christmas. True story both sides walked to the center of the battlefield and shared gifts, food, and traded prisoners. What happened to us, were is the dignity of man these days? |

I don't know what is happening with people joining battles right before they end. This hasn't happened to me in months. Perhaps it is a more common occurrence for people who run solo alot.
I agree that people should be able to concede a battle, as per calvin's suggestion. But don't think that this should happen in pubs. I think this should be something that could occur in PC or perhaps FW once team deploy in enabled. Conceding the battle does not mean leaving it unfinished though, or fleeing like a coward into the night. It means ending the battle early by submitting to the superior force. This is totally different from disconnecting from a match because you are loosing, which should be considered akin to desertion and treated as such (with a single shot to the back  ). |

I agree with the sentiment, but I would rather someone leave and be replaced with a player who wants to contribute rather than afk in the MCC. I feel bad for those who take a loss without even spawning. |
