Here is to call the official public request that Bojo's School of the Trades and Mango and Friend's educational dept come togetherin an alliance of learning and goodness to benefit the future of New Eden.
It has come to my attention that BSoT is under new management and trying to get back on its feet. The Mango has told our Listener, Lillica, that it wishes to aid in BSoT return, and as Speaker of the Mangrove, it is my duty to bring this to pass. We have the know how and experience, but lack enough resources to properly mentor more than a couple newberries at a time.
My aims of this alliance: To better prepare new berries (less than 2 mil SP) for the challenges of New Eden's battlefield by instructing them in the area of their choosing so we can all enjoy pubs with less grenade spammers and murder taxis, as well a a resurgance of weapons that have not been popular since Chrome, and new ones that new players are scared to try do to wasted SP concerns.
Together, we can work together to fund authors, mentors, and newberries- something that is taxing on one small group of people.Ultimately, the Mango wants a small group of mentors skilled in the art of war to teach a small group of newberriest so that they destroy all that stands before them through their skills behind their weapon or behind their keyboard, fighting the forum war. It is our mission to see that these students go on to join the best and most powerful corps and become famous and feared, for it is the Mango's will.
What the Mango can offer: The Mango has influenced social dynamics in game and on the forums since pre-chromosome. It has caused the nerfs and buffs of many weapons through sparking outrage. It has razed and raised alliances through the social game. The Mango understands people. The Mango does not fail. Fear the Mango. Fear its Friends.
The Speaker of the Mangrove will await your response, here.

Immortal Guides Consulting has taken BojoGÇÖs School of the Trades on as a client. This Mango initiative fits very well into plans being discussed for the revival of BSoTGÇÖs. I have sent both of you in game mail with my email address. Please contact me so that we may discuss these plans further. |

I approve of this. Even though I haven't read the entire post, training corps everywhere need as much help as they/we can get.
We need to start a group email. Is that possible? I know Gmail only well enough to send mail to people and collect mail for game registration. :D

We'll probably never be on all at once, so here's how it's going down: Arty, manage the teachers and see if you can enlist some more Fox, keep doing what you do, and help give Arty advice on mentoring. Help him choose mentors I'll try and find nubs & scrubs and direct them to Bojo channel. From there they can get informal training (straight up advice + some learning runs) or go formal (Join BSOTT, get funding, almost always getting learning runs and advice + secret sauce fittings).
I will also get back onto the teaching bandwagon (Zanzi progress is slow and loving it so I have the management time) but for this first week, before teaching, I think we should all familiarize ourselves with 1.4.

Actually, BSoTT and Immortal Guides have been talking about a 'Learning Coalition'. I'm not sure if Mango was in with this, but the dedicated chat channel is "Learning Coalition Chat". Newbies will still be directed to BSoTT, but it'll basically be a pool of students/newbies where we can take on to teaching anyone who needs help, or find squads to run with (And do some teaching in the process), etc. All BSoTT members will be asked to join this channel, and it'll basically be an alliance without the official title, as (How Fox explained it) we might have instructors in there that are at war with eachother.
I've already created the channel and invited everyone in my contact list that I know should be in it (Bojo, Hairy, McBob, Fox, & O'Dell isn't in my contact list so I'll have to invite him via search later...), but some names may be missed there, I'm not sure.
So yea, that's in response to Bojo, talking about the "Bojo" channel. All newberries must actually be directed to the "Learning Coalition Chat". I came up with the great (Lame!) name in like, 2 seconds. It does it's job though, so you know. |

We're also talking about just getting some of the really dedicated/skilled/makes-you-wanna-quit people from the big corps to "Guest Teach" at Bojo's. We do have some in-house teachers (I supervise every class as an assistant-type person, answering any questions I can, etc., and we have some others as well), but most people will be outside the corporation. This lets us not be so dedicated to our teachers, and we can get someone like... AndreasSilverEyes to do a couple short classes for our students (As an example, I haven't actually spoken with anyone yet).
So yup. I think that's it, I'll talk to you guys via email and/or in-game. :) |

There is getting to be a lot of channels: Bojo, Learning Coalition Chat, and Mango related channels. One of the things we will need to figure out is how many channels we need and what each channelGÇÖs purpose is.
I think the technical term for GÇ£assistant-type personGÇ¥ is GÇ£FacilitatorGÇ¥.
It is looking like Immortal Guides will take in the new players and cover basic training, acting as a feeder Corp for BojoGÇÖs School of the Trades which will teach them a trade, once they figure out what they want to do. Although strictly speaking, since members of the Coalition will be sharing services, it wonGÇÖt matter too much which Corp a student is in.
Of course this is all still fluid and subject to change.

Yep, we don't even require joining to train, it's just that it has perks.
Well this channel thang is pretty tangled huh? Well from my view; Bojo - Public Channel of BSotT, Zanzibar Concept, Bojo Fans. Come here if you need Trade Training. Meet the people associated. Part Business Channel, part social club, part fan club.
Learning Coalition-The Place where students/mentors of multiple organizations (The Terrific Three) merge for fluid communication. More Business channel oriented.

Learning Coalition Chat is a bit long. Lets shorten it to what Bojo said.
I have created the GÇ£Learning CoalitionGÇ¥ channel on my EVE character. Creating a chat channel in EVE gives more control over the channel than if you create it in DUST.

Very well. All mentors will direct newberriest to the learning coalition chat channel. From there, mentors will squad with them and teach them basics. From there, they ha e the option to join BSoT in order to receive substantial funding to further their learning, however this is not required if they don't like free money.
A curriculum will be established and when a stuberry (student-blueberry) meets all requirements, he is eligible to qual for a certificate.
We need to find well known specialists in their field to give a Certificate to a berry when they meet qualifications. For example, if I were to put good word in for q newberry that is a tanker when they try to join a new corp (we can assist with this as well), it will look between for them compared to if they randomly applied without any.good word put in.
I do not want the Learning Coalition to turn out garbage blueberry recruits like D-Uni does, so often. I'd rather certify one stuberry a week as a meanberry (a formidable redberry) than several who get mauled on the daily. D-Uni may be a public ghetto school if it chooses, but we will be a private school turning out the best new mercs ever.
Also, let it be known the Mango and Friends (the corp) has nothing to do with tLC. The Mango told the Listener of the Mangrove to make it happen, and as the Speaker of the Mangrove, I have assured that newberriest will be instructed in the Mango Art of War. What makes the Mango Art of War so formidable, some ask---> Friendship.

Yes, I definitely agree to differentiating from DUNI. I feel like student to teacher ratio should be nice and small, something where special attention and focus is given to students, allowing a good taste in the mouth.....mmm mango. Or is it nectarine? |
